Shannon Shirley Posted July 31, 2011 Share Posted July 31, 2011 excellent subject. to be influenced,to be affected, to be inspired, to learn from others is beautiful,intelligent, open minded. but to imitate, without shame is wrong. we sometimes see people rip off others without any discretion. this is either totally ignorant or a completely uninspired practitioner. in the tattoo biz we are asked to imitate or replicate because of the popular badge. this is called makin a living. in my personal art i try to be myself. But we can not, not be affected by everything we see . lets face it ,postmodern times.
