Hey Don, very nice drawings! And welcome. Just a quick note to tread lightly on LST about getting an apprenticeship:

*Do not start threads asking about specific tattooing equipment or techniques, LST is not here to teach anyone how to tattoo. Ask your own tattooer, the next time you are getting tattooed. Maybe they'll answer you, maybe they won't.

*Do not start threads asking questions about "breaking into the business" of tattooing.

Check out this thread: Tattoo Newbie Guidelines

Hope you make the most of your time here!

    • Unless your tattoo is infected, then there is absolutely no point in using antibiotics. If the shop is so dirty that you have to use antibiotics as a preventive measure to get a clean heal then you might want to re-evaluate where you get tattooed. Antibiotics isn't something you should be taking just for the fun of it. Feel free to do some googling on your own in case you are unaware of this. From the 2 week photo, it looks like there is a thin scab on the entire thing, that needs to flake off. Skin and scabs doesn't flake if it's moist, so that's why I'd recommend that you simply leave your tattoo alone and dry.
    • It shouldnt be more difficult to tattoo than any other design out there. Typically they will take the image you give them and use it as a stencil, so they dont need to actually "understand" the language in order to tattoo it.
    • So I still have not gotten my first tattoo yet, and I am planning on getting it in about a week, my first two are going to be a lion on my forearm and my grandmothers name. However, her name is not in English it is in Amharic (Ethiopian), I have the letter that I want tattooed but I was wondering if there is anything that I need to know about getting a foreign tattoo, Do artists charge more? is it more difficult for them to do? etc. the picture below is what the letters look like. P.S sorry for the dumb questions I'm new to this scene.
