here in the uk theres a new show about a glamour girl (i dont even know if theres such a term in the states) called jodie marsh trying her hand at tattooing, the summary of the series is for her to go from apprentice to opening up her own shop. at least she has some tattoos, i havent watched it since i dont get cable, but ive been told its pretty bad. im not really paying attention to that stuff so much these days, tv is pretty bad anyway.

A friend from Albany NY called today and mentioned that a shop there is wrapping on season 1 of "Tattoo School" for TLC. I have no problems with the reality show done by professional tattooers because in reality it has brought many people in the doors wanting bigger stuff but a show that is about teaching people how to tattoo is a different thing altogether. So I hope this winds up being one more reality show that is shot and never shown, like Americas Next Top Tattooer that was done in Texas.

I watched some of this as I'm a bit obsessed with british reality tv, and I wanted to flush her head down a toilet.

ahahahaha....i couldn't even get through the whole clip she just fuckin annoyed the shit out of me. even in my industry if someone tells you to sweep the floor or do their dirty dishes you do it and you make sure you have a smile on your face to boot!!

I really don't ever want to see another show. I try to be open about the added business, but even my walk in's lately think that shit is passe and gay. It's encouraging people who don;t even want tattoos to get tattooed and they end up being the kind of people that take three hours of hand holding just for a 60 dollar name. I'd rather bang out fast names on gangsters all day before having to take three hours to talk someone through a fifteen minute tattoo. Not to mention the freaking amount of people walking in trying to be tattooers.

They HAVE! The one dip shit shop girl on LA Ink was also on Brett Micheals - Rock of Love and the 2nd dip shit shop girl was also "cast" by the producers. It's all contrived/ semi-scripted bullshit. Also, I don't know how anyone gets through a tattoo on those shows because they make you stop and start over and over again as they set up different shots. (Gotta move cameras, lights, etc.) So really those people are getting tattooed for hours on and off. Sounds like a nightmare to me! That being said, I DVR the shit and tune in every single week like a crack addict. ha ha The one thing I can't dispute is the tattoos they do show for the most part are really nice and occasionally I'll see a friend or aquaintance on the show and that's fun.

Which girl was on Rock of Love? Now that's quality TV! How about finding a single tattoo artist and having girls compete for him like on Rock of Love??? I know I would watch.

Alanna, a lot of people are ranting about that show but haven't watched it yet, thanks for the link.

Who has seen these two videos Gia posted:

Tattoo Customer from HELL Video

and/or

Tattoo Robots

I believe many others are still waiting for someone to post their own videos from their shops of the debauchery that really takes place in a tattoo shop sometimes. Who is going to break the ice?
