Travel Blog New York. June 2012 part three

So it’s Sunday, the final day of my trip. I get my bags packed and check out. There will be no cock ups today on the subway (yeah right). I must say Smith Street, Brooklyn, on a warm summers day is one of the most beautiful and interesting places I have visited. I walked past a school with th

Travel Blog New York. June 2012 part two

Saturday morning up nice and early. After a shower and an altercation with the in room Nespresso machine (I called it a cunting piece of shit after it presented me with, what looked like watered down piss). I depart for the subway station in Chambers Street. As I made the short walk I felt a little nervous. As a NYC subway virgin I hoped she would be gentle with me. I arrive at Chambers Street, down the stairs and towards the turnstiles. I swipe my card and nothing. I swipe it again. Nothing. N

Travel Blog New York. June 2012.

Well here’s my first effort with a travel blog. I originally planned to set up an appointment to get tattooed by Bailey Robinson in October but I couldn’t wait that long. The hotel prices and flights were good and I had some vacation in June so fuck it. I contacted Bailey again and set up my appointment. Time 12 noon, June 9th on the corner of two streets in Williamsburg. Text me when you get there and I’ll come and get you. All very cloak and dagger, but I can see why. Now you can’t visit Ne

Welcome to back home... (NOT)

So, last nite... after waiting on prints to get to the shop, and then waiting for a few people to come and get their preorders so I didn't have to worry about selling someones print at the West Texas Tattoo Convention this weekend in San Angelo, and then waiting for the 5:30pm traffic hour to die down, we finally got on the road, way too tired from waking up and packing, and then having to deal with some shop drama, I was tired, he was deliriously tired, and we were both anxious about the show..

    • i think it looks good and its not so big..maybe you are finding it dark?  but it will look much better in a few months once its properly settled into the skin and it will get lighter too .... i think its a great start, and incase you decide to continue it upwards, you can use some play with contrast and create a beautiful sleeve or half sleeve .... honestly id just leave it for a while , let it grow on you, before making any rushed decisions...believe me, i made rushed decisions over and ov
    • Also, usually before I got to get my tattoos me and the artist have a pre-session to talk about everything and ask questions, then set up an apointment, but like I originally stated it doesn't look bad at all.
    • I personally think the tattoo looks fine, You can put a moon  like others have said and it would look awesome. Also before they tatted you up, did you see the design on your wrist, the way it would look. When I go to my artist, they usually ask me to pick the design myself, the size, what exact location I want it on, also the reasons for getting the tattoo, but I got good history with my tattoo artists, also if this is recently done, you might want to wait a while, let it heal etc, may even look
