Worst Tattoo You've Witnessed

Recommended Posts

i think misspelling of words is up there.

also, backwards tattoos. you guys see that TATTOO WARS show? it was awesome!!!!!!!!!! you see the one with mike rubendall up against bugs? i like the way they showed mike doing his homework researching his design and doing some sketching while bugs went to his mechanics place to work on a hot rod. come tattoo time, mike did an INCREDIBLE job. bugs on the other hand decided to just draw his design on. and drew it BACKWARDS!!!!!! thats some crap you learn in the first week of an apprenticeship. not 20 years into your career.

My spelling is far from the best so you best believe before I get one tattooed on me I'm face first in the dictionary and/or dictionary.com .

I think I am yet to see a backwards tattoo or at least be able to identify one but that is pretty bad.

Julio, what was the show Tattoo Wars? I've never heard about it and/or seen it?

Keep the threads coming everyone......they go great with my morning coffee!

Thanks and until next time.....have a good day!

It was this show on TLC I believe. They get two tattooers to do a similar tattoo and are judged at a convention. Kinda like that biker build off show. It was really good but short lived. Episodes included Leo zulueta vs rory keatong, guy aitchison vs Aaron Cain, Michelle miles vs Seth ciferri, rubendall vs bugs. I think that may be it. You can probably look them up on YouTube.

Ok bad tattoo... A co worker tattooed this guy with cliché tattoo images. He got a lower sleeve with a taz, barbed wire, a sacred heart, tribal, blah blah blah. The dude is an awesome tattooer so it's drawn tattooed very well. I know he got it as a joke, but now the jokes on him. Forever.

A few years ago a friend got a tattoo on her shoulder blade that was supposed to say "remember".... well it says "rember". She claims she looked at the stencil and they showed it to everyone in the shop and all said it was spelled correctly, looked fine, etc. They did the tattoo, she still didn't notice, and went home. Next day her artist called her super early in the morning. Something had been bugging him all night and he couldn't figure it out so he drove to the shop and looked at the stencil and that's when he realized the misspelling. HE called HER! I know they sort of fixed it somehow. But dang!

Kevin, you rule! I'm glad you have such a classy clientelle, and you're so lucky to keep getting those referals. That a Notorious B.I.G. lyric, and we all know that attitude didn't help him out so much in the long run, but I guess it's just so damn catchy, who could resist? Keep on sharing Kevin!

I know, I'm always so stoked when these girls come in, because they always come to me with the raddest shit, and show up like 10 deep. Here's another one I was pretty stoked on. It's only funny when you look at the back of the dudes arms. He said he was just "really into Dukes of Hazzard"...

Kevin, in the second picture I can tell the tattoo says "brown pride" but below that does it say "Rouge" on left arm and "Dog" on the right arm in script below? How about thouse forearm block lettered tattoos?

Thanks again for sharing more tattoo pictures.

Alright, I know a lot of people have seen these pictures but has anyone ever seen homie in real life? Anyone know his or the story in general behind it? Who's the tattooer(s)? Thanks for the tattoo detective work.

I have "Rise Above" tattooed on my ankles (I know...) I was 17, and working at Applebee's. The cook in the back started showing me pictures of Tattoos he had done on some of his buddies, and to be honest, they weren't that bad. Also, I should mention that he was a Sureño, and most of his tattoo's were gang related. Me being a complete fucking idiot, asked him to do my "Rise Above" tattoo. Long story short... the tattoo is spelt right, but the "Rise" is about an inch higher than the "Above"... So the rise is literally rising above. The lettering is terrible, but what should I expect.

What about the guy who came in, fresh outta prison w/ a big head & attitude..wanted "Crazy Ass" down his left arm and "White Boy" down his right arm. Was a total jerk during the tattoo & tried to haggle on the price..the best part was when he walked out of Goldfields in his t-shirt and all you could see peering out was "Ass Boy"

I did this tattoo a few weeks back. This definitely isn't the worst subject matter wise, but I thought I should share it nonetheless. I've actually done pretty much the same phrase on 2 of her friends.

hahaha Rad. That's just some thug ass gangsta bitch shit.

Also, Mr. Cool Ice is a man, a myth and legend.

    • Hi guys, so I recently got a cover up and it's a little over 2 weeks in the healing process. I'm finally starting to like it, but it doesn't fully cover up my old tattoo! There are hints of the old tattoo still showing through (where the arrows in the picture point to the faint black curved line). Is there any way to fix this and cover this part up better? Can I just go back for a touch up and maybe have the tattoo artist go over it one more time with some shading and yellow ink? Thanks for the advice.
    • There's nothing to fix on that tattoo. It's still healing. Tattoos look weird when they are healing. A lot of people say to give it 6 weeks to heal and then judge, but I'd given it longer, at least three months. It shouldn't be shiny or bumpy then.  Secondly, a tattoo is not a sticker. No tattoo is perfect. Tattoos do not heal exactly the way they looked when they were first done. Skin is a living canvas and that means lines often spread or color migrates. It would be ridiculous to go back to your artist to get that "fixed." If you can't live with minor imperfections, then tattoos aren't for you.
    • Tattoos in general fade with time. Trying to do anything to it while maintaining the original design is going to make a mess of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
