Bunny Switchblade Posted March 5, 2012 Share Posted March 5, 2012 I'm amazed by the frequency of your tattoo sessions Bunny. You must have superhuman endurance. I have a list of people I want to be tattooed by and some of those people have been tattooing for quite some time so.....I feel in a few of the cases there mat be an urgency to go ahead and get the tattoo while these people are still tattooing! I have found as you get older it really does hurt more....and most of the spots I have left are painful ones! however the tattoos are getting smaller as I will eventually run out of room! This session was really a spur of the moment thing! We called last Thursday.....found out that "Reds" did indeed still tattoo (we weren't quite sure) and he does work on Saturdays (he just colors the tattoos in) so I very respectfully asked if he would be willing to add a piece to my collection! He said he would so we picked something off the wall together and made it happen! My next scheduled appointment is with Dave Kruseman and he is going to tattoo the right side of my head! That should be fun......ha ha ha! I have a wish list.....but I am going to need to plan a few trips to make those happen as they are all well over a 1000 miles away from me so you may notice the frequency drop off some in the near future! el_alquimista Posted March 5, 2012 Share Posted March 5, 2012 The center piece is tibetan caligraphy by tashi mannox, it spells awakening, jondix decided to put it over an eternal tibetan knot with some eyes opening, the rest of the tattoo is my favourite jondix geometric design. it took 3,5 hours. He did some really cool purple smoke behind some black and grey stuff I have that really makes it pop. It's really hard to get a picture of some of the stuff he has done, but will try to post a few more. He has all ready booked all the rest of the year, but i am sure getting another appointment next year when hes back in Barcelona. P.S : Hes favourite tv show is 24, but he went crazy talking about BREAKING BAD, lol. I was not expecting this one but the way the weather has been (knock on wood) we were thinking a trip to the beach to just hang out would be nice and Todd is right on the way....ha ha ha! Isn't it crazy how "covered" you look in the mirror at first? Then, after a few months, you don't really notice anything but the blank spots. I have been meaning to get something from him for a long time! I was going to try to get something from him when we were down for the opening of Right Coast Tattoo but he was having a good time at his opening party and I elected to get something from Bert Krak since he was there! I am stoked to finally add something by Todd! hopefully it will all work out as planned....he's going to the Salt Lake City convention this weekend or I would have gone down this weekend to get it!
