Newest piece done last weekend! Rocky Mountains from up here in Canada, and each moon represents the three members of my family. Myself, my mom, and my dad. The phase was matched to what the moon was like each day we were born on.

Done by Jordyn at Classic Tattoo in Red Deer, AB, Canada

Nice clean looking work.  I really like using the phases of moon to represent your birthdays.  Very cool.

I had this done yesterday. Picture is a bit wonky; it's harder than you'd think to get a decent photo of your own arm!

It hurt a LOT more than I was expecting. Was really painful from start to finish (3 hours). My husband was tattoo'd at the same time, in the same location on his inner forearm and he sat like a rock, not a peep from him :34_rolling_eyes:

That’s pretty.

It always amazes me to see and hear about the different pain tolerances and levels according to different people.

For example, the tattoo on the top of my foot was a cake walk, but so many people have issues there.

What did your husband get?

I hear you! My shoulder tattoo was much larger but a lot easier to cope with than my arm. It only got painful towards the end.

My husband got a portrait of our dog :12_slight_smile:

@Alicia Aw, you all have a Dalmatian. My Sadie was a Dal! She lived to 17. :)

Wow, that's an amazing age :6_smile: Ours is called Alfie and he's 6. He's our absolute pride and joy. We completely dote on him; he's got us both wrapped around his little paw!

This is the photo that the tattoo was based on.

Is that a jessie hopeless tattoo, also?  I want one of my dog and have been looking for someone - that is such a great picture!

No, sorry, we're in the UK :12_slight_smile:

It was done by Callum Hollinshead who is ridiculously talented for his age. He's only 23 or 24. As I said to him when he did my last one "I have actual tattoos older than you"!

Went to the rather excellent Brighton Tattoo Convention yesterday - didn't plan on getting a tattoo... but the marvellous Habba Nero was there handpoking runes.... it seemed rude not to really....  Tis on my lower leg.   Never been non-machined before - it was very gentle.

Finished this one with the incredibly talented Kahlil Rintye at Tattoo City here in SF. It came to me in a dream of strange cities..

Cthulhu Rock of Ages, complete with fish-lady from Innsmouth wearing her sacred tiara. Photos don't do it justice. If you ever decide you need a large tattoo, I wholeheartedly recommend Kahlil for the job.

Needed some blood letting therapy this weekend ... caught my homie Richard Harding at Champion Tattoo (Edmonton, AB) just as he wrapped up another tattoo and he was quite agreeable to stay late on a Sunday to do this walk-in second layer tattoo for me:

spider shape is based off some old Pat Martyniuk flash, webbing was part draw on, part straight on with machine. we made waxed some ideads for some upcoming tattoo carnage. Turned out to be a really memorable Sunday evening.
