quick question:::: that BHR buffalo i got, i wasn't so much planning on getting it black and grey because i am gonna get color traditional pieces around it. y'all think that it'll look weird with color tattoos around it?

i don't want a completely b&g arm (not that i don't love those), and am planning on getting some shit from smith st this winter to surround the buffalo. hopefully I'm sweating for nothing (as usual), i just want a cohesive arm! -- - thanks! ;)

Great tattoos will always look good around other great ones. Nothing will clash with the dark colour, but even if it did it would just draw the eye even more!

sounds like a plan! plus good artists will help you with placement and composition type of concerns - when i was at smith recently getting a piece from steve boltz i saw eli working with a customer and he was real thoughtful and patient in collaborating with the client about the pieces he was putting on her - they want their work to look good too - those guys are pretty cool over there have fun!

No pictures yet, but Sarah Hurst of Vivid Tattoo in Knoxville added the third cameo, this of the oldest daughter, to my left arm. In the soft, delicate "waddle". There was no happy place to be found! Healing great so far. Next will be some fillers and then a vine with leaves to tie it all together.

Hoy Stuff Swallow. Love it.

Thanks! Chelsea and Charley are the two who really got me into being tattooed, so I asked them to do my pair o' birds, and gave them free range. Chelsea drew up the Sailor Vern based kewpie, and Charley did the Hot Stuff/Texas Traditional inspired hybrid.

By Todd Noble, at the Montreal Tattoo Convention. Sorry about the sideways view. Was right-side up when I took the picture. Anyways, you get the idea.

Love this. Noble's stuff has been on my radar a lot lately. Not sure if he's just getting more visibility, but his stuff absolutely slays.

I just finished this on my back calf, with Rob Ryan at Temple. Having him do a Divine Mother in the presence of Freddy was a bet. Friends don't understand why I'd want this as an agnostic... shrug.

Uh, because it's beautiful. Great face, her gaze has a magic to it.
