Yeah! I spent a few hours with Ron in April but we aren't done yet. Don't wanna steal his thunder so I'm holding off on photos until it's finished, but I'm very excited. That looks great!

@SStu @Rob I @zetroc @ChrisvK Thanks fellows!  I have a bunch of tattoos from Ron because I hold him in such high esteem as both an artist and as a person, but this tattoo is way beyond my expectations.  It also means that I'm going to be wearing pants in the summer for the rest of my life because, let's face it, I have a vagina monster on my lower leg, but if your tattoos don't bother polite society, you're doing it wrong.

Inside of my right upper arm. Adding more floral elements to connect the inside and outside at my appointment next month. We both got tired, and the shop was closing. :-) Hurt like a fucker. That unexposed baby skin inside my arm (as you can see, I'm very, very pale) was excruciating.

@oboogie nice! inside bicep no joke tho i agree

Thanks! I'd already had the inside bicep on my left arm done, so I KNEW it would hurt. But I did it anyway. It is really, really swollen today. Ouch.

It looks fantastic!! It's only a matter of time before I move inside my biceps...it's interesting to hear the pain differential between the inside and outside, I wonder if the nerves for the forearm are centered inside in the same way that the lower leg nerves are centered on the inside of the knee (I learned that after knee surgery on the inside of my right knee cut across those nerves - I have no feeling on the outside of my right knee unless I rub the incision. Then I can feel it on the opposite side of my knee.)

@oboogie It's funny, I had my shading done last week and I was sitting there gritting my teeth and white knuckling the chair when they were inside my bicep. At one point I look over and a girl 20 years my junior was getting a mandala on her inside bicep, and she didn't look like it bothered her in the least. I guess everyone is different. Nice ink!

    • Yeah, I have heard that as well. Tattoo laser removal definitely isn't something you'd want to do, I'd say it's one of the absolute last things you'd wanna do, actually. From what I've heard (no direct experience), the pain of the laser just doesn't compare to tattoo pain as it's on a whole 'nother level, it takes multiple sessions for the tattoo to really fade and because of how incredibly tough it is on your skin you need an interval of at least one month in-between sessions. That, and the thousands of dollars it can add up to...  My artist told me that she has advised customers to get one or two laser sessions done before cover-ups only a very few handful of times because of all the above cons to lasering, and even with them she suggested no more than one or two sessions just to extremely dark tattoos to lighten the slightest bit so it would be easier to then cover up - to get tattoo lines to fade "wholly" not infrequently takes years and like others already said, would still be visible anyway. 😅
    • I’m assuming. Definitely not an artist myself but I know scar tissue is permanent and once it’s there, there’s never erasing it. I’ve heard laser also hurts more than having the tattoo done itself sooo I’m not sure I’d personally be keen on that 😂
    • Thanks guys I’ll try to respond to this thread once it’s done 👍 (July 10th)
