You can thank me by doing another round of "what's he thinking here" :D

"10 more seconds and this PBR tucked in my armpit will be warm enough to drink."

Senator Howell Tankerbell: I wish I could be everywhere that people are doin' awrt, so that I could keep the public from gettin' aroused...or titillated...or otherwise confused by the counterculture.

This is for you i-phoners...it just may replace Angry Birds as your new game

Download: Punch A Hipster App

From a SOMA software designer (who kind of looks like a hipster) and his artistically inclined GF, this app allows you to digitally bash ironically mustachioed, V-neck wearing PBR swillers or upload actual pics of your friends wearing pretty much those same things, then overlay them with Adam West-styled Batman "POW BAM BOOM" images as you inflict damage, though you can also accomplish that by reminding them they went to Branson.

Makes me want to punch things. Thankfully Ms. Barbie took care of that!

At this point, I'd rather people get those types of tattoos. Color wheels, straight lines, bullshit fonts, quirky doodles. Though I certainly don't envy the tattooers that actually have to put them on..

Sometimes I really can't tell the difference anymore. Tattooing is SO over saturated that it feels like i work at hot topic most of the times. I mean when everybody has a fucking tattoo what's the difference anyway? I've seen tons of kids with tough traditional tattoos wearing hipster v necks and thick rimmed glasses. But what about tattooers? Dickies and flannel? I mean fuck! It's all been done and over done. None of us are original, we might have got there sooner but does it matter anymore? How about we all dress like it's the 30's? Oh wait that's done... How about ties and button downs... Fuck another cliche. Today tattooing not just about the tattoo it's about the total image of the client wearing it... And I think that's bullshit. When "alternative" is the mainstream, what's alternative? I don't have a clue...

Side note: some of the above tattoos are really stupid!!!

Yeah, it's all ridiculous. I got called a hipster for the first time yesterday. I was wearing Levi's 501s, a white t-shirt, and boots, so I just kind of laughed. I bet that term will die off soon enough, since apparently it means wildly different things.

    • Keep looking and next time book mark it. 😉
    • Small detailed tattoos on thin delicate skin are the most prone to blowouts. I don’t think there is anything you can do to cause or prevent them.
    • Hello everyone! on Friday I got my first tattoo, a small dagger, like 5cm on the back of my hand. I think this was the absolute right decision, but I am a bit afraid of the aftercare, because there are some Details, which I would like to preserve. As this is my first tattoo and there are three questions which I couldn’t find answers on: No.1 I am currently living in Athens and the tap water is relatively heavy chlorinated, which makes me unsure about showering and washing, should that be any problem? No.2 During the days the sun is always shining. In the last few days I’ve hid in my flat to let the tattoo heal but tomorrow I have to get to work, would it be an idea to use a band aid to cover the tattoo from the sun? No.3 The possibly most shitty thing with this small detailed tattoo would be blowouts, how do they happen? Until now everything looks just fine, but I am a bit scarred to F*** everything up if I stretch my hands to strong or move them in a wrong way. I am completly paranoid about everything right now, but I think that’s kind of normal.   Thanks for the help and best regards! Anton
