Hey folks, I'd been thinking for a long time about getting a tattoo and finally took the plunge.

I chose the Simplified Chinese letters for "transformation" because the last 7 years have been a trip in a lot of ways. I started out at 455 lbs, diabetic, and miserable. Today I'm 295 lbs, a Zumba Fitness instructor, and still a full time road warrior (systems engineer).

This smells advertising..... With all the "Zumba" related links and all.

Sorry, not advertising - just an overly informative signature block which appears to be a little wordier than the new rules allow. Fixing it!

Welcome to LST, do you plan on getting more?

Thanks Lochlan! Yeah, I've gotten two more since this post. I'm uploading pictures of them shortly.

    • Tattoos don't heal on a schedule. 4-6 weeks is a general guideline. I had one that didn't completely settle for a year. It was the purple color that didn't look quite right. I forgot about it and at some point I looked at it and noticed that it looked perfect.
    • That's why you double check before you give the go ahead to start. Don't worry about it. I showed it to my wife and she didn't even notice. Only in our dreams do other people care about our tattoos.
    • Just enjoy it. It doesn't change the meaning. And yes, stencils are always reversed.
