exume
not really what you'd call traditional... definitely an interesting style, different from most others I've seen. I think its pretty fun to look at and I was wondering how you 'experts' felt about his work? not so many bold lines I don't really know how it would hold up but the freshies definitely look nice Peter Aurisch – Tattoo & Art
ThaliaCamille
I dig. When you see a Peter Aurisch piece, you know, the style is that distinctive. No idea what some of these pieces will look like in the future, though.
hogg
I like tattoos that look like tattoos. I don't like Peter Aurisch's stuff. kylegrey, jade1955, cfgsteak and 7 others
Gregor
Its going towards that Noon/Boucherie direction , not a fan. jade1955
dooktruck
they remind me of bad high school art but only a tad bit better
David Flores
Obviously a talented guy, I'd buy a painting from that guy, but wouldn't get tattooed by him. I have rarely seen a tattoo without a bold outline that ages well, and if you are going to pull it off for me the tattoo has to be clean, this stuff is just too sloppy for my taste. Petri Aspvik
Not something I would get myself. Might be cool when you are 15-25, but after that... Actually, they are somewhat boring. As David sais, much better as paintings.
dari
I'm all for people getting whatever style of tattoo appeals to them the most, it's about personal taste and self-expression and owning your own body. There's not much point in getting tattoos because other people will like them, although that's obviously very common. I'm glad that there are all kinds of tattooers out there, "lid for every pot" and all that. Personally, I like tattoos to look like tattoos, even if you only see a little peek. If this girl were fully dressed and her shirt rode up a little, the glimpse of tattoo might look like scars from a terrible accident or surgery gone wrong. But I bet she loves it, and god bless her for that. polliwog, MGblues, Gregor and 1 other
MGblues
I'm pretty easy to please. I like coffee flavored coffee, cigarette flavored cigarettes, beer flavored beer, and tattoos that look like tattoos. The Peter Aurisch stuff doesn't look like a tattoo. exume
That's pretty much what I expected to hear when I started this thread, not something I'd want on my skin, definitely not something I'd travel for (so many others doing so much nicer stuff if I find myself in euroland) I just find it fun to look at from an artistic perspective
