@slayer9019 How was Deathfest? Highlights?

One word, insanity.

4 days of non-stop amazing metal blasting your face.

Partying until 4am-or-whateverthefuck

Awesome crowd (actually somehow I hung out with almost exclusively Canadians)

Taake KILLED IT!

So much sunburnt

So much hangover

So much awesome.

I'll be back again next year.

Everyone brought their A-game, and killed it. Really solid!

I'll just leave this here:

Pallbearer: Foundations of Burden | Advance | Pitchfork

Their first album rules if you haven't heard it:

Pallbearer

Deviod of Redemption off of their first album is one of my favorite songs over the last few years. The new album is very good.

The one negative about Pallbearer is that they are very hit and miss live. I had a chance a early last year to see them live while they were headlining a tour with Fuck the Facts and Cough and they sounded really good. However, I saw them last month open for Deafheaven and they sounded absolutely atrocious.

Today is the Day released a promo for their upcoming new album yesterday. Really looking forward to it after not being impressed with the last two albums.

UFOMAMMUT is my all time favorite...I don't know..Psych-Space-Touch-o-Tech-Metal Band? I love everything that they have recorded ever.

Something older: UFOMAMMUT's Snail King - Lacrimosa

Something not quite as old: UFOMAMMUT's Eve - V

Oro: Opus Alter and Opus Primum I only listen to in their entirety.

:D

I hadn't heard BONGRIPPER prior to starting my back. Going on the name, I assumed they were probably some kind of Eyehategod-influenced sludgy kind of whatever, but they're not that at all. I should see if Dave has "The Great Barrier Reefer".

Bongripper's SATAN WORSHIPPING DOOM rules also. Check it out.

If you guys haven't seen YOB live it's a must-see...seen 'em twice now and I can easily say they are the heaviest shows I've ever experienced.

Got to check out two stellar show recently. Got to see Torche and Municipal Waste a couple of weeks ago. I had the pleasure of checking out the awesome lineup of Ringworm/Iron Reagan/Exhumed/Voivod/Naplam Death last Friday night. All of the bands were fantastic but Voivod and Napalm Death both absolutely slayed.
