Need help choosing a background/ filler

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have been doing alot of work to my right arm and I have come to the point where I've ran out of room for big tattoos, so it's time for some filler. I was hoping I could have some of you guys check out my pics and give me their opinion on what kind if filler and background to use.

The sun was my first tattoo, and since it doesn't go perfectly with the rest of the work on my arm, I need to come up with a background that will help it mesh nicely with the mostly traditional pieces I have added. I was thinking about purple clouds, along with purple fill behind the other tats, but I've notices that I dont always have the best ideas, so any comments would be appreciated.

I would also like to do more with the big blue rose, either more shading of more leaves or something, something is missing there.

Thanks in advance

Maybe something on either Side of the blue rose, a little something. Main think I want to focus on in this next session is the background color for the sun and filler

how many new people are going to start a thread with this topic?

sorry a lot of posts lately have just been bitching about this kinda stuff but for real... do we need 5 different threads talking about stars and dots? I think not. I mean come one, this very same thread existed only a few days ago. The one called "tiny tattoos" or "small tattoos".

Just have whomever has been tattooing you decide. If you are undecided. He or she would probably have the best input and maybe have a better idea of your taste. But stars and dots are always a good filler.

    • Keep looking and next time book mark it. 😉
    • Small detailed tattoos on thin delicate skin are the most prone to blowouts. I don’t think there is anything you can do to cause or prevent them.
    • Hello everyone! on Friday I got my first tattoo, a small dagger, like 5cm on the back of my hand. I think this was the absolute right decision, but I am a bit afraid of the aftercare, because there are some Details, which I would like to preserve. As this is my first tattoo and there are three questions which I couldn’t find answers on: No.1 I am currently living in Athens and the tap water is relatively heavy chlorinated, which makes me unsure about showering and washing, should that be any problem? No.2 During the days the sun is always shining. In the last few days I’ve hid in my flat to let the tattoo heal but tomorrow I have to get to work, would it be an idea to use a band aid to cover the tattoo from the sun? No.3 The possibly most shitty thing with this small detailed tattoo would be blowouts, how do they happen? Until now everything looks just fine, but I am a bit scarred to F*** everything up if I stretch my hands to strong or move them in a wrong way. I am completly paranoid about everything right now, but I think that’s kind of normal.   Thanks for the help and best regards! Anton
