Post awesome things you have been doing recently

Recommended Posts

Recently all I have been doing is working, a lot. However, it has all been a means to and end... and that end is returning to Japan and getting my back started now in under 6 weeks! Will also be catching up with friends, checking out the place which will mean another travel blog and working out the details with @CaptCanada about the first Japan Lst meet up! Good times good times... seriously though I'm really friggin tired lol.

Well... This marks 6 months since I took my daughters and left an angry wee man who had a hold over me for 10 years of my life. I guess leaving an abusive relationship is pretty awesome. I think a couple of drinks tonight, whilst packing up the house to move tomorrow ,is in order !

Good for you and your daughters.

Sounds well-deserved! Congrats! Hope you guys are doing well.

A few months ago marked two years since I left my ex-husband. He wasn't abusive, but it was hard to bring up the divorce discussion (I'm the one who wanted to). My life has been totally and completely awesome since then, though, so I'm so glad I did it! Cheers to moving on, @hollyjoybee!

It's wonderful to see a woman put her children before a need to be validated by a man/her relationship etc..

It's even MORE wonderful to see a woman STAY GONE.

cheers to you - tough cookie - your children will have a wonderful example of what it means to truly be strong.

I'm a week behind, but I think we need a "Which undercrackers best accentuate squidpants?" thread. My vote is shamrock boxers, but it's not for everybody;)

No thongs or speedos on the men, please.

Last weekend I ran my first group 5k.

I had three hours of sleep and a pot brownie in my system, but I crossed the finish line at 25:04, which is a personal best for me.

A year ago on 9th May I was 240lbs. I was unhealthy. I was in a relationship with someone who cheated on me, lied to me and stole from my family and I. When she left, I got healthy. Going from that lifestyle to 5ks and being a coach to my friends trying to get healthy has been a weird and wonderful switch.

    • Anyone will feel worried and scared during the recovery period of a new tattoo. This is normal and it will take some time.🙂
    • stop worrying about it, there is nothing you can do about what a tattoo will do on your skin over the years, is what people here tell you going to make you not get healthy and not lose the weight you want to ? all those tattoos you have as with all tattoos on anybody ,will meld together and fade over the years. that's just the nature of tattoos, follow your heart and lose the weight, everything will be fine.
    • Hello I am about to begin a journey of losing weight and have looked on various webpages to answer my question but I am still concerned. Currently I have Two wrist tattoos one script and one Ying/Yang tattoo on both hands. In addition to this I have scriptures on the inner part of my arm and I am concerned that If I lose a lot of weight, say 100 or so, which will happen gradually, no surgeries, that the letters my blend in som way and ruin the design. I don't mind having to get it retouched so it shines again, but I would be a bit sad if the artwork is ruined the tattoos are a way of expressing myself and also reminding me of certain things so they are important.    The lines missing from the Ying/Yang are on purpose Ama te ipsum preimum means Love yourself first Per Aspera Ad Adastra- Through struggle or hardship we reach the stars- Also known as Ad Adastra Per Aspera- We reach the stars through Hardship, I emphasized the hardship instead of the stars Pulcher- Beaughty   As you can see these are really important to me Sorry for posting this in this section but no others were avaiable to me.
