Juicers Juicing and Juice Recipes?

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about doing a juice fast to kind of clean out my system and maybe loose a couple of pounds. I was wondering if anyone on here had any experiences with juicers or maybe had any good recipes. I do have a couple of friends that do the whole juicing thing, but since I have never done it before, I could use all the help I can get. Thanks a lot.

My husband has been doing this on an off for a while, he's lost weight from it for sure. The juice he prefers is :

Half a lemon

Half of a celery bunch

3-4 small green apples

1 bunch of Kale

Small piece of ginger

Half of a large cucumber

I like to sometimes add kiwi or broccoli as well.

Personally, I can't stomach it. Last time I drank some (it was a fruit mix of berries, kiwi and apple) I threw up within 20 mins. Every time I try and drink a little bit of the one listed above it always makes my stomach feel gross so I kind of gave up and just make it for him now.

I bought this one at B B & Beyond- ikon Multi-Speed Juice Fountain | Breville

They have a more powerful one for 299.99 It does fruits, and some vegetables good, but it didn't do kale good.

This article describes the different types of blenders- The Different Types of Juicers

I also bought this blender two years ago.Now if i only used these machines and juiced on a regular basis,i would probably lose some weight.

There's a documentary about this Dr. who cured cancer with coffee enemas, and juicing fruits & vegetables.

Thanks a lot guys. I have been looking at an Omega J8006 juicer, It seems to have pretty good reviews. I will probably start a thread when I start the fast and maybe post progress pics and such.

    • Keep looking and next time book mark it. 😉
    • Small detailed tattoos on thin delicate skin are the most prone to blowouts. I don’t think there is anything you can do to cause or prevent them.
    • Hello everyone! on Friday I got my first tattoo, a small dagger, like 5cm on the back of my hand. I think this was the absolute right decision, but I am a bit afraid of the aftercare, because there are some Details, which I would like to preserve. As this is my first tattoo and there are three questions which I couldn’t find answers on: No.1 I am currently living in Athens and the tap water is relatively heavy chlorinated, which makes me unsure about showering and washing, should that be any problem? No.2 During the days the sun is always shining. In the last few days I’ve hid in my flat to let the tattoo heal but tomorrow I have to get to work, would it be an idea to use a band aid to cover the tattoo from the sun? No.3 The possibly most shitty thing with this small detailed tattoo would be blowouts, how do they happen? Until now everything looks just fine, but I am a bit scarred to F*** everything up if I stretch my hands to strong or move them in a wrong way. I am completly paranoid about everything right now, but I think that’s kind of normal.   Thanks for the help and best regards! Anton
