The question read:List any scars, tattoos or identifying marks: The problem was it was a line about 3 inches long.....So I started a list and continued down the side of the page. This considering I am not heavily tattooed...What do people do that are covered? Answer "Got a shit-ton of tattoos and such", then list one or two favourites. Under guidance from my attorney I filled it out, and he said "it's better to not have to worry about lying on a government document." It's probably overkill but whatever. The last time I was.. er... detained against my wishes and formally booked, there were many pictures of gang member tattoos on the precinct wall... I asked like I was hurt.. Ducky15568 Posted February 23, 2013 Share Posted February 23, 2013 I will be 21 in a couple days and me and my Fiancé own approximately 6 firearms in our household. 4 of which are handguns. 1 of which i use for conceal carry.It may seem excessive to some but (Going to go hick for a second) here in Montana there is more Guns per capita than people. Im hoping that this thread makes a comeback because 2 of my favorite things are Firearms and Tattoos! (if you want pictures of my guns lemme know!) Perfect rifle for all rifle needs plus give me a 308 over 223 or 7.62x39. Just a tad expensive to buy and I can't find one in any loal gun shops since people got worked up about semi autos rifles. Brock Varty Posted February 25, 2013 Share Posted February 25, 2013 To be completely honest, I don't like talking about firearms on the internet. It is too easy for people to keep tabs on you. It wouldn't be hard for someone to see your name and a post about owning a gun and find your address online. I am sure it doesn't happen much...but guns are tools to be used for very particular and purposful things. Talking about them like they are toys degrads the importance of them being a tool. I am very pro gun. I won't say whether I own guns or not, but I do fully support our 2nd Amendment and any and all hunting. Guns are something that can be really fun. Still need to break it down, clean it and go to the range, as soon as I can find reasonable .22lr ammo. Nice! i think 9mm is a garbage caliber anyways (just my opinion.) as for the shortage, its crazy. I can get ammo at near regular price but it still is becoming insanely expensive fast. The more people that know you own firearms, the more people you open yourself up to. I just prefer to keep my things private. If there is ever a point where we have something like a national registration or a gun sweep or whatever, I don't want anyone to know what I own. To that effect, I don't purchase firearms from any place that keeps a record. Might not be tomorrow, but this country is toast. The America that I grew-up in is long gone, and the collectivists are intent on pushing through their vision of a new, "redistributed" world for us to inhabit. Part of that is regulating the private ownership of firearms to the point that it becomes non-existent. Trouble is, when people start tampering with the Constitution, and attempting to limit the rights of American Citizens, then the "law of unintended consequences" will kick in. Basically, you have collectivists preaching that firearms are terrible, nasty things, that commit violent acts, basically without any human involvement. To see just how far collectivists are willing to twist and distort the truth, look no further than the Sandy Hook shootings and their aftermath. Before the smoke cleared, collectivist politrickians were dancing in the blood of the victims, calling for a ban on evil "assault rifles". Much was made over the fact that "an assault rifle was used in the shootings". Well. Not so much. The shootings were done with a 9mm handgun, the rifle, which was legally purchased and then stolen, was NEVER OUT OF THE KILLERS CAR. Now that's flat-out lying, something our collectivist overlords are quite good at. So keep pushing, keep squacking about how "hunters don't need more than seven shots", and see what happens at the end of the day. The Second Amendment isn't about hunting, rather, it is about ensuring that Citizens have the tools they need to overthrow the government. I'm not too bright, I'm not even a college graduate, but here's what I can very easily see happening. The current regime passes laws requiring all firearm transfers to go through a licensed dealer. Millions refuse to abide by these rules, as they refused to abide by Canada's long-gun registry. In the face of mass civil disobedience, the regime outlaws the possession of certain firearms. More civil disobedience follows. The Oligarchs, sensing a threat to their legitimacy, send in the Waco Killers. Teams of ATF and FBI goonies confront outspoken gun-owners and arrest them, in the process, terrorizing their familes, destroying their homes, and brutalizing any who resist. As this happens with more frequency, more Citizens resist, until finally their is a series of firefights in which heavy casualties are taken by both sides. As the fighting escalates, the Oligarchs order their troopers to crush the budding rebellion, and they respond with increased brutality. Oh wait! jade1955 Posted March 2, 2013 Share Posted March 2, 2013 Finally test fired my BSA Mk2 Martini Henry 577-450. The rifle was manufactured by the Birmingham Small Arms & Metals Company in 1887. That makes it 126 years old. Some of the cartouche marks on the wood suggest it may of been part of the haul of arms discovered by the guy who owns IMA (Family Guns on National Geographic). Commercial ammunition for this rifle ceased in the 1960s, although some does surface occasionally. So the only option is to reload. The brass cases are available from a couple of specialist manufacturers. The ones I use are reformed 24 gauge Magtech brass shotshell brass. Originally the cartridges would have been loaded with blackpowder and a paper patched bullet. However I have opted to use a nitro powder called Trailboss. I have also paper patched the bullets in the traditional manner. Anyway to cut a long story short here is me test firing the rifle. Sandbagged and fired remotely.
