Here is Lord Sharkington III. He's a gentlemanly fire breathing shark coming out of some slimy fleshy rose petals...and there are some spider webs too. Why not?

He was tattooed by Orrin Hurley.

I LOVE THIS!

coincidentally, i also have a set of decapitated "edge" hands, but they weren't done in a sketch garage and they're not relevant to this forum.

This one's by Jeff Rassier, but everyone seems to know that without my having to tell them:

It's a panther-headed eagle versus a hot stuff-headed snake.

And another fun one by Heath Preheim:

I was working in this little streetshop a few years back that was filled with tons of crappy flash, one dead ass winter day, my co-worker and I each picked the 3 craziest/funniest/shittiest pieces we could find, made copies, wadded them up, threw them in a cup, shook it and drew one each. I got the "Original Tattoo Brand™" Punkrock duck.

I got a similar story. Killing time in the shop my buddy used to work at in Vegas and we stumbled upon this gem (aka the stupidest flash in the shop). Lo and behold it ended up on my skin. The "2012" was just a freehand add-on cuz we started joking about the apocolaypse and saying these space monkeys from the future are what 2012 is really going to be about.

Oh, I forgot. I also have a Caddyshack tattoo.

Fucking winner right there! I totally hear that song when I read the "I'M ALRIGHT" down at the bottom... and then I have visions of Bill Murray

LEWLISW stands for

"Live Every Week Like It's Shark Week"

hahahahaha so great!

he said it was done by Erick Lynch @ Redemption Tattoo in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

I don't have a decent picture of the tattoo, but here's the watercolor (By Rick Lohm of HALO in Syracuse, who also did the tattoo) that spawned it.

Story-

Once the big owl trend really started hitting hard, I decided it was time for the noble Turkey to be the next "It" tattoo bird. Eagles, Owls, Swallows.... they've all had their turn. So every time Rick would post a tattoo of an eagle on his facebook, I'd comment that it didn't really look like a turkey and that he should try harder. Habitually harassing him until he finally painted this to shut me up- A portrait of me as the devil Turkey.

The milk was because Rick likes milk- we didn't even get the "cry over spilt milk" thing until after he tattooed it on me.

The turkey has yet to get it's turn, but it's coming.

    • I had a similar problem: I wore jeans (I have to work) and they chafed my then-new tattoo, causing scabbing, and then discoloration. While getting other work done with my artist, I asked him about it and he said to wait. Here we are a few years later, and the color has healed fine: there's no brownish red anymore where the scabs were. So a touch up isn't necessary at this point. Now, the color falling out is a different issue, which will most likely need a touch up, and my tattoos are tebori, but the lesson is that allowing the body to work its magic over a longish period of time isn't an unreasonable or unheard of thing.
    • We didn't say what you wanted us to say so you deleted it?
    • Why on earth would you wait a year? That has happened in spots here and there on both of my sleeves, but a few months is more than enough time to wait before a touchup.
