New here, looking for input

Hi all,

My name is Kelly and I'm new to the forum! I came here because I'm looking for some insight into what might be going on with my tattoo. I just got it done yesterday; this is my third and I haven't seen this happen before. When I took the bandage off a couple of hours after getting it done, I noticed some of the lines are pretty blurry. This excess ink has not washed off. I'm not sure if the lines are blown out, or if it's something else. I'm hoping it will fade as it heals; if not, I will go back to the shop and see what they can do. In the meantime, does anyone have any idea as to what this is, and if it can be fixed? I'm feeling pretty disappointed :(

(The images are also in my gallery, in case they don't paste here correctly)

Thanks in advance!!

Again, as @hogg mentioned, we won't speak to the technical aspects of the tattoo; however, I am comfortable saying that you need to let you tattoo heal completely. I would give it at least one month and then evaluate it again. In order to determine any course of action, wait until it is healed. If you are still not happy, seek further action.

Without being real specific, the "blurry" part of your tattoo is an issue with how the tattoo was actually applied. It may or may not heal differently than what you show in the pictures. Also, keep in mind that I do not tattoo. My opinion is just that, an opinion, certainly not fact.

There is some blowout very minimal in the second picture you posted, the rest of it looks like very poor shading technique looks like they were trying to go for a very peppery type of shading to diffuse the edges but haven't quite gotten that down yet. Was this done in a legitimate shop?

Thanks all! I know I need to wait for it to heal, I was just surprised when I took a closer look and was wondering what that might be, because it does look a little different than a blowout (besides the second picture, which I did notice, but am not worried about). It was done at a legitimate shop...this guy has been tattooing for years and has a great portfolio. Yet another reason why I was a little surprised by it. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed...in any case, it looks fine from a distance. Time will tell, I guess :)
