Hi LST,

I want to introduce myself and thank you for allowing me to join. My name is Christian and I am a huge fan of art and believe that we should be able to express ourselves in any way we feel most comfortable. For most of us, it's through body art. I have recently started a new brand of shirts called Ink & Freedom as a way for others to feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings through fashion. Since this is a new brand, we launched a kickstarter campaign in hopes of gaining enough supporters to really be able to take this to the next level. If your interested, please check out the kickstarter website and do a quick search for "ink" and you will see us in the results.

I like to browse different sites and check out all the creative tattoos artists come up with. Its pretty amazing how they can do such cool things on skin. In the near future, I am hoping to have some more work done on myself, but it will need to be after my wedding since I will be going on vacation right after.

Feel free to ask me any questions and I look forward to future discussions.

Thanks

Yes, I have some calligraphy style initials on one arm that I got when I was 16 and my recent work is a a half sleeve of polynesian tribal that starts up by my trap and ends at my elbow. I am thinking of having my next piece done on my leg somewhere.

Welcome to the forums and good luck with your venture, however I feel that there are already clothing brands doing similar things--Steadfast Brand comes to mind--and I'm not interested in those either. I'll continue wearing shirts from tattoo shops, and supporting tattooers that way even if I'm not necessarily getting tattooed by them, instead.

Thank you and I appreciate your feedback. I am not expecting that everyone out there would prefer our shirts over the ones offered by tattoo artist, but there will be people that may like it. Also, Ink & Freedom is not going to be only about tattoos. Eventually it will be more than just that, but this is just our fist line of things if successful.

That being said, I agree with supporting shops and artists since they are what makes all this possible.
