Are there any websites or online guides for symbolic meaning behind flowers? Preferably green or purple flowers. I love lotus flowers (plus I have a good bit of Indian in me, from India) but they're done SO MUCH.
The flower would be in the upper right hand side of my chest, close to my collar bone and shoulder since that's where my cancer port scar is
Hello! I am Gracy. I am a recent SVA graduate and I hopefully look forward to getting an apprenticeship in the future.
Here is my website with the flash I have done: https://realgraceevalentine.wixsite.com/website/tattooflash
I came here to obtain feedback on different topics, but for now, I need feedback from other tattoo artists or enthusiasts about something.
Recently, the Kyoto Animation studio has been destroyed due to arson, and lives have been lost.
I am considering making tattoo flash to sell to fans, all inspired from different anime made by KyoAni. My intent is to raise money by selling this flash, and all proceeds will go to an official GoFundMe for the KyoAni recovery.
My worry is that some people will take the designs and get it tattooed without paying, and it would be unfair to those who paid.
What advice would anyone give before I proceed with this? I would appreciate any responses (honest and respectful please. This is a serious topic.)
So as you may or may not have seen there were some request to start a new area for tattoo designs (thanks for the feedback!) so the LST Team decided to add a new tab obviously titled "Tattoo Designs" as you are here. But no one seems to be writing anything so I figured I would make an intro to our new tab and try to throw some gasoline and an M-80 on the fire to get it burning!
Please do not let the title of the tab limit your writing, pictures, ideas, creative muses, etc to tattoo designs but let it be any art. What, who is your muse for a piece and how do you decide what genre/format to do it in?
We see hundreds/thousands of dragons, tigers, skulls, roses, nautical, script, girls faces, daggers, yada yada art yet it continues to be done. There is nothing wrong with any of the above as I always enjoy seeing each artist or tattooers flavor added to it. For all you "foodies" out there think of the various spices or flavors chefs try over and over to make their own unique meal. Their own unique burger, grilled cheese, salad, you get the picture!
Oh yeah if you have art or flash or tattoo machines or what have yous post some info with a link under the "Vendor Marketplace" as that are is pretty silent as well and we hope will generate some new business for you!!
On with the bag of M-80s, lets do this.........
I think the best roses are done by Tim Hendricks and would love to hear how he came to how they are now???
What was the coolest tattoo you've ever seen and/or tattooed on a guy and why?
What is the most attractive spot for a guy to have a tattoo?
How about some pictures to accompany the stories and thoughts?
okay, so, first off...i'm not sure if this is the place to ask this on here or not, so somebody let me know, haha.
I'm considering getting a Northeast shader frame to do a build on...does anybody have an opinion on these frames? Good? Bad? I'm assuming the brass ones are pretty hefty...
And what happened to Paulo Fernando frames? I built on a few and really liked em...now poof! I cannot yet make frames...and really enjoy doing builds.
This one's for artists and collectors alike. What's the longest you've ever sat for a tattoo and (for artists) the longest you've ever worked on a client?
I've had several 5-hour sessions, which is kinda pushing it, but once, I sat for 9 hours. Without a break. Overnight. File under never again. The worst part is that I didn't really plan for a long session--it just ended up taking forever.
I'm sure some of you have some crazy stories, possibly involving Shige, Filip Leu, and/or Chris Trevino. :)
For the record, the last 4 tattoos I got took under 3 hours, combined. Much more fun!
Just found this via Tim Hendrick's posting on his Facebook Page:
