motsimus
Hey Guys So i have decided to travel to the states from Australia around July/August for a couple of months possibly with another tattoo friend of mine and would love to meet a heap of you guys while I'm over there. We are planning to start in San Francisco and travel across the country to New York hitting a lot of shops on the way for walk-ins (not going with a plan). I just wanted to use this thread as a kind of home base for information for the next few months. Thanks LSTers Also i will probably be doing a travel blog thing aswell. mtlsam, Johannes, gougetheeyes and 14 others

exume
If you come through Colorado on your way down to Texas you should check out Dedication or Lifetime Tattoo in Denver, Marie and Caleb just left Lifetime to work in Dallas but there's still solid work coming out of that shop. motsimus

sighthound
Looks like you're taking the southern cross country route (since you're going to Rock of Ages). On your way up to Hold It Down in Richmond, VA you could stop by Hot Stuff Tattoo or Empire Tattoo both in Asheville, NC - you'd be passing it anyways :P It'd be cool to meet a fellow LSTer
suburbanxcore
This sounds great. You should do a little blog or video series of this trip ala True Love. daveborjes, ChrisvK, Hands On and 5 others
Shaun1105
Google maps tells me that your route should take you through Phoenix, AZ. If that's correct, I highly suggest checking out Immaculate Tattoo in Mesa. Anyone there will give you a great tattoo. daveborjes, Graeme, KBeee and 2 others
cltattooing
@cltattooing I definitely wanna check out Oakland so of course we can have a bev or two. Great! Just let me know. I know of good spots depending on what you like to do.
MadeIndelible
The SF Bay Area is great. You'll enjoy it here, plenty of great shops, great food, and fun activities.
motsimus
@suburbanxcore I've decided to only do photos for the trip because I don't really want to be spending all my time filming this n that and not really taking in the whole experience of the trip if that makes sense, but don't worry you'll see photos. suburbanxcore, ian and guitguy
suburbanxcore
@motsimus, that definitely makes sense. As a selfish viewer, I'd love to see a video. But if I was going on the trip that you're about to, there's no way I'd want to put it together! Taking in the whole experience definitely makes sense.
