jutepanama
So I have a Polynesian Tattoo that I really like that I got in Hawaii (total tourist tattoo), but I just picked it out of a book of flash (bad form) and although the tattoo has great meaning to me since my wife and I got tattoos together, it isn't terribly meaningful in terms of the art that I chose since I was then and am still pretty ignorant of all the different meanings for Polynesian tattoo designs. I really want to get more done and finish my upper body, but don't want to just cover myself in flash art that came out of a book Living in the Oakland/East Bay area, I have found that there is no shortage of seriously talented tattoo artist out there, but I am having trouble finding someone that can actually design a tattoo for me based on what I want it to mean to me. Can someone recommend an artist to do the design work that is really versed in the meanings of different "island" designs? SStu
Welcome. I know one in Hawaii, but I'm sure someone else here will be able to chime in on socal or midcal artists that do historical tribal. On the other hand, whatever you get will mean to you just what you want it to. Pick a design (tribal or not) that speaks to you.
