Heyhey everybody!

Yoni Zilber has art in a show in Bushwick, the opening is tomorrow night. Here are the details: The Active Space, 566 Johnson Avenue, Bushwick. Opening is at 7pm.

I know there are a couple of folks on LST who have work from him, figured I'd spread the word.

Squeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!! Depending on how many people want to come, we might be able to host a shindig here in Brooklyn. Although, I know a lot of folks won't be able to make it this way so I'll defer to everyone else's suggestions. Can't wait!!!!!!

The weekend of Nov 21-24. I am thinking the Sunday would probably be the easiest for us, but we're open for whatever at the moment! We'll probably be staying in Brooklyn, but we're happy to meet up anywhere a subway can take us.

Good question! The Sunday evening (Nov 23) still works for us if it works for the rest of you! We will be in Park Slope, but happy to meet up wherever is accessible for the most people. We're open, so maybe a local can suggest and place/time/secret password or something? :)

Sorry to hijack, but I'll be in town this weekend. I'm gonna catch some of the comedy festival, but are there other things happening in the area? Also down to grab a drink if anyone's free!

Hahaha @Pugilist! I usually head home and eat/drink after being at Adorned, and am totally out of the restaurant loop right now, but... Soba-ya is close, it's one of my husband's favorites and we always go there if we are nearby.

@JoshRoss - I have to head upstate this weekend, otherwise would love to grab a drink with a fellow LSTer.

@JoshRoss Ah, busy weekend for me bro, otherwise would love to meet up and see your Horimitsu piece! Have a good time in NYC!

@Pugilist @Fala I LOVE Soba-ya! It's good stuff. There's also Mighty Quinn's if you want some BBQ. Mermaid Inn for seafood. Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken. Just TONS of places on 2nd Ave and side streets with about almost anything you would want to eat and drink! There's also good yakitori places on St. Marks but those places are very tight quarters and get crowded quickly.

My most favorite place would be Village Yokocho on 9th Street on the 2nd Floor. A mix of Japanese yaki and Korean foods and bonus...there's a hidden-speak easy behind a second door called Angel's Share where the cocktails are pretty amazing!

So who is going to say where we're going to meet up in two weeks? Because if nobody suggests anything, I'm going to make a suggestion based upon consideration of yelp reviews, proximity to Times Square, and possibly most authentic Irish experience not because I don't know any better, but because I can be a prick. Let's meet up, it will be fun.

Hahahahahahahaha @Pugilist!

I'm looking for places near you in Park Slope, and in Manhattan as well, today. Will post a short-list as soon as it is done!

If ya'll want pizza, Guiseppina's in Brooklyn is fantastic - it's on 6th Ave between 20/21st Sts - South Slope. It's a hike, and I wouldn't expect that those coming from NJ would want to make the hike to it...

Barn Joo (Flatiron) looks good. And, it is in a fairly convenient location for everyone.

    • Anyone will feel worried and scared during the recovery period of a new tattoo. This is normal and it will take some time.🙂
    • stop worrying about it, there is nothing you can do about what a tattoo will do on your skin over the years, is what people here tell you going to make you not get healthy and not lose the weight you want to ? all those tattoos you have as with all tattoos on anybody ,will meld together and fade over the years. that's just the nature of tattoos, follow your heart and lose the weight, everything will be fine.
    • Hello I am about to begin a journey of losing weight and have looked on various webpages to answer my question but I am still concerned. Currently I have Two wrist tattoos one script and one Ying/Yang tattoo on both hands. In addition to this I have scriptures on the inner part of my arm and I am concerned that If I lose a lot of weight, say 100 or so, which will happen gradually, no surgeries, that the letters my blend in som way and ruin the design. I don't mind having to get it retouched so it shines again, but I would be a bit sad if the artwork is ruined the tattoos are a way of expressing myself and also reminding me of certain things so they are important.    The lines missing from the Ying/Yang are on purpose Ama te ipsum preimum means Love yourself first Per Aspera Ad Adastra- Through struggle or hardship we reach the stars- Also known as Ad Adastra Per Aspera- We reach the stars through Hardship, I emphasized the hardship instead of the stars Pulcher- Beaughty   As you can see these are really important to me Sorry for posting this in this section but no others were avaiable to me.
