November 2014 Tattoo of the Month Contest

Recommended Posts

The "Latest Tattoo Lowdown" thread has gotten BOMBED with some insane tattoos lately, but for some reason last month's contest barely made it to a second page. Remember to share your new tattoos here as well folks. There's an awesome Last Sparrow T-Shirt to win after all!

The rules:

The tattoo picture that gets posted in this thread for November 2014 with the most 'likes' for the month wins! The contest starts on the first of the month and ends on the last day of the month.

  • Your tattoo picture must be posted in this thread (both tattooers and tattoo customers can win) in order to qualify.
  • Include with your photo/post...tattoo artist name & tattoo shop.
  • You MUST be the one who has the tattoo or did the tattoo.
  • You can 'like' as many tattoos as you want.
  • It can be a finished or in progress tattoo.
  • You cannot enter the same tattoo in more than one contest.

@chrisnoluck Josh Mason was at the Montreal convention a few years ago and he seemed like a nice guy and had a lot of great designs with him, I remember a lot of designs of traditional portraits of old hockey players like Rocket Richard. Heard nothing but good things about him and that shop over the years as well.

he is a super nice guy and not enough people know of him. he does tattoo a lot of traditional-type portraits and they always come out awesome. super black, just the way i like 'em. old soul is really a magical place. the walls are covered from floor to ceiling in paintings. there's an original rob ryan painting in there thats probably close to 5x5 foot. definitely recommend getting tattooed by him (or any of the guys there) if you get the opportunity!

    • Keep looking and next time book mark it. 😉
    • Small detailed tattoos on thin delicate skin are the most prone to blowouts. I don’t think there is anything you can do to cause or prevent them.
    • Hello everyone! on Friday I got my first tattoo, a small dagger, like 5cm on the back of my hand. I think this was the absolute right decision, but I am a bit afraid of the aftercare, because there are some Details, which I would like to preserve. As this is my first tattoo and there are three questions which I couldn’t find answers on: No.1 I am currently living in Athens and the tap water is relatively heavy chlorinated, which makes me unsure about showering and washing, should that be any problem? No.2 During the days the sun is always shining. In the last few days I’ve hid in my flat to let the tattoo heal but tomorrow I have to get to work, would it be an idea to use a band aid to cover the tattoo from the sun? No.3 The possibly most shitty thing with this small detailed tattoo would be blowouts, how do they happen? Until now everything looks just fine, but I am a bit scarred to F*** everything up if I stretch my hands to strong or move them in a wrong way. I am completly paranoid about everything right now, but I think that’s kind of normal.   Thanks for the help and best regards! Anton
