blujax01
The final major piece to complete my 3/4 sleeve. It will set on my tricep, and I'm looking for simple bold lines in full color. There are a lot of great ones out there. Anyone care to share?

CultExciter
Billy White at Tattoo Faction is quickly becoming one of my favorite younger tattooers.
pidjones
I like the black-and-white houses with big spiral stripes or vertical stripes. If your artist is very good, the light from it might provide a lot of added interest - perhaps illuminating or directing another piece. Or, just big, bright yellow/white and badass. blujax01

blujax01
There are a ton of designs out there. I am looking for a calm-after-the-storm "Welcome home" feeling. It is meant to complement and contrast with the "This Too Shall Pass" hourglass Billy Hill did on the front of my bicep. About the same size, too. marley mission
might not be what you are looking for to compliment the hourglass (which i dig btw) but for what its worth here's what i got this evening...
oboogie
Reviving this old thread. Thinking about getting a lighthouse on the back of one of my calves after I finish my half sleeve at the end of this month. Tell me about and show me your lighthouse tattoos. bongsau
Here's my lighthouse. I got it done by King Len in 2012 (photo from when it was fresh). It was my first spontaneous tattoo - popped into the shop to say hi, Len was guest tattoo-ing, flipped through his flash book, hum'd and haw'd for 5 minutes and said hey you got time? ok let's do it! Come to think of it all my Len tattoos are like that ! Asked him to put an eyeball at the top and he obliged, but he wasn't going to use any extra colours other than the basics, that was non-negotiable. Kinda of a dumb spot to put a one-shot small tattoo (on the thigh) because it really cockblocked the space for a full size thigh tattoo, but meh no ragrets and I like that it symbolizes the no-plan spontaneous aspect to tattooing that I had overlooked for many years. https://www.instagram.com/kinglentattoos/ Len actually has made a lot of really nice traditional lighthouse tatts if you scroll through his 'gram.
