Bay area shops/artists: Alameda/Oakland?

Recommended Posts

I'm very ignorant of the current Bay Area tattoo situation, but I may be there for a weekend in a month or so, and I may want to get tattooed.

^ laziness wins, @Graeme.

i thought there might be a secret message in the upper cases from the last post, but it turns out it just says "BLACKHTIDHSTG". that's worse than "be sure to drink your Ovaltine"

now it's your duty, @Isotope. check out these shops, book a flight, hotel, and an appointment, then post pics!

I am super biased, but here's my list:

Temple, FTW, 13. Too much good talent in all those shops.

Thanks everyone. I apologize for the seeming laziness, I was pressed for time when I started this thread, but super excited about the idea, so I didn't wait to go back and search for myself later. Totally my party foul.

Scott Sylvia is on my BUCKET LIST, but for some reason it didn't click that the shop was in SF. I would love to literally make an appt, pick something off the wall, and let him rip. Once I have a firm date on when I'll be going, I'll call the shop. Hopefully he'd have time to do a small banger from wall flash when I'll be there. I won't speculate on how far ahead he's booked.

Scott was awesome and easy to book with in my experience. I emailed then called and boom was set up. His workman like approach and humbleness are worth the life reminders alone. Not to mention he does totally cool fast tattoos

    • I went to the original post and pointed out the misspelling. They took the post down and said they were warning me not to reshare it. Yikes. Hope you can get the misspelling fixed somehow, OP. Oh, lord. Now the poor tattoo artist is threatening me with a lawyer. Even though I used her original caption and tagged her in it. 🤣
    • Is that word supposed to be whisper? I hope I am just reading it incorrectly ... 😬
    • No you can't "fix" it and it didn't move. It's ink under your skin, it doesn't move. Calm down and think! Don't tell everyone you know how much it sucks because no one will notice except you anyway. It's not on a piece of paper! Your skin moves and as your skin moves, the ink embedded in your skin will move. That's a nice tattoo. If I was a Tattooer and someone gave me grief about that I'd tell them to take their business elsewhere.
