Where does your username come from or mean?

Recommended Posts

Yes, another topic about absolutely nothing but it helps me to get some rest in my head.

Like the title, how did you come up with your username and does it have any meaning? For instance, for a couple of months i thought Moisttowelette was a girl/woman untill he posted a link of an interview of him. Needless to say, mind was blown.

Or whenever I see the name Marleymission I am picturing some rastafarian guy.

This is where my username comes from

My username is the initial of my first name (Tyler), the initial of my middle name (Anthony), then the first six letters of my last name. At the college I go to that is how they give us our usernames for the computers and our emails so it has just stuck with me and I now use it for other things.

I usually go by "Tig" but this forum requires more than 3 characters. It is from my bouncy sprinter days, short for Tigger.

It stuck and I later got a tattoo of a Tigger on one calf.

My first custom license plate was TRNADO6. I have a degree in meteorology, and I got the plate while I was in college.

My license plate seemed like a good handle way back then, and I'm something like it in a lot of places online.

I refer to people with tattoos as "colored people", nothing to do with race. In essence I am a Colored Guy although I'm as whitebread as they come.

I dont know man, You seem pretty fly for a white guy to me

This is super dorky...I'm usually "odradek" on the internet but sometimes I'm also "Molly Polliwog" from a series of childhood stories my family used to make up about tadpoles living in a pond near our house.

My favorite band is AFI and my favorite song by them is called "Synesthesia." Plus I think it's a cool looking word and a neat concept ("the production of a sense impression relating to one sense or part of the body by stimulation of another sense or part of the body").

When I was playing hockey in my teens, we always had this huge rivalry against another small town, it always ended up in huge brawls, like always. One of these brawls I ended up wrestling another player to the ice and while the fighting was ending I ended up getting kicked in the back of the head without my helmet on. I was instantly knocked out for about 5 minutes but when I woke up I proceeded to skate to the biggest guy on their team and try to fight him. Passed out again and took a good beating. Was in the hospital for a few days major concussion. A couple weeks later my buddys dad started calling me Mush because thats what my brain was, and I kept getting concussions and hospital visits because I didn't want to stop playing. The name stuck and Ive been Mush or mushy for the better part of 14 years now.

    • Thanks! It's interesting how some artists suggest keeping showers minimal or not using direct spray at all and other suggest blasting the new tattoo with hot water for 5-10 mins. I've even heard of taking a hot bath immediately after. I believe it's a traditional Japanese method?
    • Here's what we tell our clients: Tattoo Care Instructions: 1) Remove the bandage after one hour All wounds need to breathe in order to heal properly. 2) Washing the tattoo Use your fingertips or hand only. Use a mild antibacterial soap and warm water. Take care to remove all traces of blood to prevent scabbing. Do not scrub the tattoo with a washcloth during the two week healing time. Pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel, or just let it air dry. 3) Aftercare Apply a thin coat of ointment at least 3 times a day Just enough to make it shine. A little goes a long way. Aquaphor is our recommended ointment. There is no need to re-bandage your tattoo, just keep a very thin layer of ointment on top keep it moist and prevent scabs. 4) Keeping your Tattoo clean Avoid long showers or baths for 2 weeks. Also, avoid prolonged soaking so no swimming, hot tubs, or saunas. Keep showers to under 10 minutes. 5) Do not scratch or pick at your tattoo To relieve itching, tap lightly with your hand. 6) The sun can be bad for your tattoo Sunburn on tattoos can cause many problems. Please wait for your tattoo to heal completely before going into the sun or a tanning bed. Make sure to use a high quality sun block (not sunscreen) do not apply sunblock while a tattoo is in the healing process. Over time, the sun will cause any tattoo to fade. Any questions don't hesitate to reach out to us at Sacred Raven Tattoo.
    • You're fine, it's all part of the tattoo healing aftercare process. Tattoo looks great!
