Japanese Earthquake Relief

From now until June 1st, 2011, I will donate 100% of the proceeds from the sale of all of the 3 Japanese colors I sell. These colors are J. Orange, J. Red and J. Pink.

You can get them on the website at Waverly Color Co. or from me directly at the Baltimore Tattoo Museum. ( Please call ahead of time if you are coming to see me in person.)

The 2 oz. bottles are $ 30.00 and the 4 oz. bottles are $57.00. Thanks for your support as always and dig deep! I can't imagine the lives of people that have been changed overnight by a natural disaster.

I'm heartened by the outpouring of support in the tattoo community and I see this as something I can do to get money there relatively quickly to the people who need it now. All money will be forwarded to the Japanese Red Cross as it comes in to avoid delay.

Have a great day and please repost and pass on this info as you see fit.

I will definitely be reordering some Japanese red and orange, have not tried the pink but I will throw it in the mix next time I order. And thanks for hooking up the orders with all the extras. I just finished a chest piece using some one off bottles I got when I ordered other stuff. Oh... and I like the dark black so much I had my long time friend, whom I am showing the ropes so to speak; tattoo the Waverly bars on my leg to fill in some space. I am down for life or something like that. I throw up some pics when they are healed

Wow Bill, thats really great. I'm gonna get some ordered soon as I get some extra bucks. Been wanting to try them out for a while now, and even if I hadn't I would just because of what you are doing.

      I'm Matt!
I have always been really intrigued in the tattoo culture, history, and just art in general. As I am an amateur artist myself(not tattoo).
Thus far I only have 2 tattoos and just saving to do some more. Hoping to get some insight on ideas for my half sleeve!
I want to compile many images over time, with representations of things that mean a lot to me.
1.Travel is huge for me: Biggest experiences I want to represent are Japan and Peru(Machu Picchu and Amazon)
Also just different travel themes in general and my adventurous nature I suppose.
      2. Musical influence: I primarily DJ, produce and play sax.
      3. I want to incorporate Japanese wave art
      4. Passion for coffee
      5. Passion for outdoors and climbing mountains.
I appreciate any sort of insight! Feel free to ask me questions if any need clarification.
      ~ Matt

Anyone know of a tattoo shop in Iwakuni/Horishima, Japan? Or a shop near there? If so, can I get an address or the easiest way anyone could find it. I have a friend stationed there and wants to get some work done. Please let me know.

I found this interesting blog about Japanese Manhole cover art that I thought people here might be interested in: An example:

Here is the blog link: Drainspotting: 61 Amazing Manhole Covers from Japan | gwarlingo
They made me think about cross walk lights I saw in Germany while backpacking a long time ago:

Pretty cool and charming to me.
*Going to recommend/ask about being able to post up on a wall or something, feels kinda spam-my putting up a new thread for this, but alas....
