Vhiden 2 Posted December 8, 2015 i'm getting a half sleeve soon but I have this scar on my left arm which happens to be the one I want the tattoo on. Do you think it will affect the tattoo in anyway? Should I tattoo my right arm instead? 1
spacellama 2 Posted December 8, 2015 I'm no tattoo artist but I think it depends greatly from what part of the tattoo will be there. About the arm choice, I think you shouldn't just get the tattoo in other places that are not where you want them too (only if you think it would be just as good in the other place)
The Tig 314 Posted December 8, 2015 Work with your artist and read what has already been discussed about scars and tattoos. The age of a scar may make a difference. Let us know how it turns out. http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/tattoo-advice/1098-tattooing-over-scars.html http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/general-tattoo-discussion/5489-our-imperfect-skin-scars-stretch-marks-more.html
bongsau 2,431 Posted December 8, 2015 No problemo! I have a very similar scars underneath a few of my tattoos. Some are medical, some are self-injury. They are all covered. You couldn't pick them out of the tattoo unless you were really searching them out and I showed you were to look. But your pals looking will be distracted by the tattoo and aren't going to notice a minor scar. People are going to be asking about your tattoo "like bro how much did that cost, sick tatt bro" when they see your arm and not "hey what's that scar from". And yes you should tattoo your right arm. After you tattoo your left A_O ! 1 tatB reacted to this
