I'm still healing from my most recent work, so I'm on a little break right now. gotcha - cool man - make sure to say hello its gonna be a long day for me probably 6-7 hours in the car round trip and i guess an hour or so getting tattooed i hear chad is fast - beyond fast and i am gonna pick from his flash have no idea the what or where its going which i really enjoy at this point his style of tattooing is definetly the type of tattooing i most enjoy so i have a feeling i'm in for a treat he'll be in jersey at the end of his tour but the date wasnt working for me when he announced them anyway - the idea of the travel / new shop part of things is fine with me - - - Updated - - - Just popping in. I'm kinda excited because even though this is certainly NOT my first tattoo, this is the first time I've travelled to have one done and the first time I don't have a planned-out piece beforehand...I just know I want a tiger. I don't have anything close to Chad's style so that part is cool, too. Plus, being part of a cross-country tour like this is just fun! I'm glad that you got back OK and hope you get rest now. I wish that you could have stayed in town longer; the Baltimore Tattoo Convention is this weekend. wildcat Posted May 3, 2016 Share Posted May 3, 2016 My appointment for Koeplinger's 50 state tour finally came! I cannot say enough good things about Chad and my experience. He was open to my ideas and excited to make some changes to his original drawing to give me exactly what I wanted. We talked about all sorts of things (from our travels in the Middle East to vintage TV shows) and time just flew by. And he is ridiculously fast!! This 8x10" piece on my thigh took 1 1/2 hours from stencil to finish. I would definitely get another tattoo from him and will be watching his schedule to see when he is next near me. Rob I Posted July 11, 2016 Share Posted July 11, 2016 Got this insanely awesome cat head on July 8th at Congress St Tattoo in Portsmouth. Man I love it so much. Was such a great day (and night)!!!! I love Chad. He is the greatest and I'm always bummed when he leaves, but luckily for those of us in NH, he visits quite often. Had a great time talking travel etc. with Chad, I didn't realize that no other tattooer has tattooed in all 50 states. He says it was one of the best trips of his life, I'm so glad I was able to make it. He's putting a book together with photos of every tattoo done this trip, should be a pretty cool project. @Rob I I almost got that same image! That book was just full of great choices. My only complaint about the tattoo is that he didn't start until about an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment, and he even made the comment about being known for starting tattoos late...he was basically just shooting the shit in the shop, so it wasn't like he was finishing up someone else's tattoo. Other than that, it was a great experience and he's a really cool guy to talk to. I'm planning on moving up to Chattanooga next year and was a little concerned about finding a tattoo shop in the area...when he informed me that he was opening one in Nashville next year, I was elated.
