I love Christian Lanouette's work.  He's out of Montreal. https://www.instagram.com/christianlanouette/

My tattoo artist, Myra Oh, out of Jacksonville, FL: https://www.instagram.com/myraoh/

I don't know if these artists are under-recognized, but I'm pretty intrigued by all of the work coming out of Wonderland Tattoo in Portalnd.  I don't know that I will every try to get a piece done there since I prefer more traditional tattoos on me, but their work sure is pretty. Alice Carrier, Alice Kendall, and Kirsten Holliday:

Another one I'm not sure is under-recognized or that I'd want to be tattooed by, but whose work I really admire is David Hale.  His whole approach to tattooing is interesting, though he's taking a sabbatical right now unfortunately.  I have a print of his on my desk. http://davidhale.org/flesh/

I think Myra has a pretty strong following through the South East, especially with women.  She also has a heavy following in California due to her "older" style and darker color palette.  Her work is phenomenal, seriously world class in my opinion. I typed in "Myra" and "Myra Oh" was the second thing in the search recommendations her instagram was number four.

Chris Brand of Good Time Charlie's Tattooland in Anaheim. He doesn't have much of a web presence--hell, I don't even know if the guy has a cell phone--but he does killer black and gray, gorgeous Japanese and nice traditional. And he's one of the nicest, most humble and genuine folks you'll ever meet, in this biz or any other. Oh, and he did Ben Grillo's back:

And since Chris has a jaw-dropper of a sleeve from Miyazo, I'll add him to the list. He puts a slight pop art twist on traditional Japanese tattooing.

Thought it would be cool to “Bump” this thread, and see if anyone has any new artists they like at the moment!

My personal favourite at the moment is Vince Pages.. Great traditional with just the right amount of elegance..

i also think Mills from Black Garden is doing great stuff, with a similar feel to Pages... I’m booked in with Mills in a couple of weeks, which is cool!
