Artists Wanted in New Zealand!

Recommended Posts

Hey there guys! I'm pretty new to this whole forum thing, but i'm the manager of Otautahi Tattoo Auckland, one of three tattoo studios in New Zealand (other two in Christchurch and Queenstown), and we are looking for some new members to join the teams! Current both Auckland and Queenstown are looking for realism specialists, primarily a black and grey realism specialist for Auckland, but if they love colour realism as well then no harm done at all! Queenstown is looking for a colour and black and grey realism specialist which our Christchurch studio is looking for a cultural specialist, who love a bit of the more pop culture styles currently, mandalas, geometric and dotwork/fine line design works!
It's a big opportunity, with the ability to simply travel to one of our other studios for guest spots very easily to be able to travel and check out a lot of NZ while still working for the same base company, able to travel without worrying about sorting a studio to work at and be able to see so much more of our beautiful country and have the new shop location still have the same base feel and operating style to keep things real easy!

make sure to check us out on facebook, insagram and our website at to see some more of the team and what we do! You can contact through to each respective location from their own contact pages and send in yoru applications and links to portfolios from there!

looking forward to hearing from you guys soon!
Sam Alpe

    • yep. 4-6 weeks before you really know what you've got.  post a link to the person who you're looking at for re-working it.
    • I'd wait until it's healed so you actually know what it's going to look like before I start looking at having it "fixed." How exactly is the other artist going to "fix" it? I've seen more tattoos that look worse after they are fixed than better.
    • Hello everyone. So I got this rose tattoo two weeks ago. Still healing and I know I want to get it “fixed”. My issue with it is that while it looks like a rose you have to look hard to see it’s a rose. I have an appt. scheduled for April to have it worked on by a different artist (he did a pocket watch on my ribs last year that came out great). In meeting with him he said it lacks symmetry (which it does) among some other things, but he feels he can work on this. Looking for any advice. Is this fixable or is it a lost cause? If it’s not fixable then it is what it is, but Tully hoping for some input. Needless to say, I’ve been so bummed since I got because it didn’t come out how I would’ve liked. Thank you.
