Recommended Posts

Hello guys im new here and I need help. I got a tattoo five months ago and these bumps suddenly appeared just now. It started 2 weeks ago and now it spread like this. do you guys know what this is? Will it just go away? Or is it because of the weather/environment that I am in?

Yeah it's really unusual, it also doesn't hurt or itch. It's just there suddenly. Here some more pictures..

Honestly, I'd get the advice of a doctor and your artist. I have developed hives from various things recently and at first thought that might be what you were having. But if they've been there 3 weeks, then I wouldn't expect that to be what you are dealing with.

hello, my tattoo artist said that it might be the weather cuz its super hot here and then i go in an airconditioned room always. but idk, the bumps dont hurt or itch at all. i just dont it there. do u think this will go away on its own? my tattoo artist suggested an anti bacterial ointment tho to try

You've already been given several options for advice. Did you try Benadryl as was suggested? If, as your artist suggested, it might be heat related did you try anything that would help eliminate a heat rash? In the end, though, the best course of action is to see your physician at this point and definitively determine what is causing the bumps.

Did you find out what the cause of these were? Or what they were? I’m dealing with the same thing by the looks of it. My doctor suggested it was a delayed allergy to the ink or hypertrophic scarring that’s popped up and will relax again soon...

    • Hey Wsda! First of all congrats on your new tattoo! What did you end up getting? Second, friction can affect a tattoo overtime. That's why things like finger, palm, and sometimes ankle can feet tattoo are prone to fading much more quickly. There will be a lot of things that can cause your tattoo to fade, and no matter what it will fade with age. I don't think the arm sleeve would hurt it any more, but I wouldn't obsess with it too much. Just take care of it, keep it and your self hydrated and moisturized, and remember you can always get it touched up in the years to come!
    • Hey 😊  I’m Holly a tattoo lover from Edinburgh, Scotland. Was a member of this forum a few years ago and am back looking for some advice!
    • So I recently got a tattoo on my inner right forearm, and I am a pretty big PC gamer, playing many hours a day. I tend to drag my arm over my mouse pad for mouse movements, and am worried about how it will affect my tattoo? Should I worry? I am thinking of buying an arm sleeve later on when my tattoo fully heals to prevent the direct contact between the tattoo and mousepad. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
