I got my first tattoo about 6 days ago: it was on the rib-cage, was a pretty F***ing painful procedure. I'm very happy with it, although it's scabbing somewhat heavily. My question is, is it normal that it's still painful from time to time? Particularly when I stretch or when I wake up in the morning. Anyone experienced this before? Gingerninja Posted July 7, 2017 Share Posted July 7, 2017 Make sure to follow your aftercare! Keep it clean, clean, clean and lightly moisturized. Tattoos take a month or two to settle in.
