Everyone's stuff lately is killer, but very cool to see that backpiece @breakthischain. I've gotten tattooed at Kadillac MTA, but not by Eric. Very cool shop, and nice to see the Hatboro one just open too.

@suburbanxcore Thanks! Eric is a super nice guy and I'm sure you're plenty familiar with his work. Hopefully I'll get some more from him after he recovers from surgery.

I posted this in the new tattoo section, but this one is finally done. I may expand on it, but not right now. Started last year in late September, next was late October, late November and this past Wednesday. Total of around 12 hours. Last session was pure murder even there was 2 months from the previous session. I like it.

5 days straight about 40 hours give or take, this is as far as we got, about 1.5 - 2 sessions left. done by dan molloy. these 5 days on my back was easier than my 3 days b2b on my arm. kinda regretting not booking 6 or 7 sessions instead to get it done.

Holy shit, that is really cool. Can't imagine doing that many days in a row.

Further on this girl. Today was pretty rough for me. Shading is harder than the outline. More tomorrow.

It is looking amazing two days in a row is hardcore, how many hours? I am lucky in that I am in same town as my artist so I tend just to do 3 hours every month. Will all feel worth it in a week or so when it is half healed. It is the week with no bra as well that kills me!

yep dan and i were really surprised by how little swelling there was each day. i was peeling the night after the first session. barely any scabs as well. i did prepped for a month and a half in advance to sit this many days moisturise twice daily, multi vitamins, 4 litres of water etc. i think it’s more of a testament as to how light handed dan really is.

Just had my second sitting last week in Denver.  Ian tattooed me for a little over five hours.  The heavy black near my love handles and the spot in the middle of my back was torture lol

Wish i could have sat longer but im happy with the progress.

    • Somehow lucked into a Grez appointment Friday at 1pm hahaha. So I guess that's happening.
    • Thanks for sharing, @jnin. I loving hearing these stories about the incredible kindness that people can how. It's a good way to start my Sunday. Your MRSA battle on the other hand...OMG. How terrifying. Glad that you are able to get it under control.
    • I have a couple of new things! I got tattooed by Timothy Hoyer in my state of CO, about a month ago and then headed SF for another session with Scott Sylvia. I’ll post pics soon but I’ve been battling MRSA on my foot. When both are fully healed I’ll post :) what I can tell you guys is that Timothy is a really nice and down to earth guy (it was my first time meeting him). Also, Scott did something that was way too cool. I’ve become friends with him at this point and I was explaining that I lost my collection of flash and prints and I’m in the middle of rebuilding. Him being as cool as he is, he’s gonna send me a ton of prints!!! Couldn’t ask to meet better people with this hobby. I don’t comment often but there are people as obsessed with this thing as me and I knew you guys would find that cool.

Heading to Oakland, California to see Freddy Corbin at Temple tattoo to get inked for our 25th wedding anniversary.
      Appointment is noon, Tuesday.
Daniel Higgs did the original wedding tattoos at Realistic Studio in San Francisco and Freddy was in the shop watching and making comments while he was doing us. Daniel doesn't do tattoos any more. So our first choice is Freddy to keep spiritual continuity.
The wife and me are getting a "25-XXV added somewhere . I am also getting a "Dragon" mixed into it...
I'll keep you up to date.

Hello! So this is my second intro post, but ive taken my original idea and reworked it, Just would like some feedback. Basically, the body drawings are rough sketches, of course the feathers would be done better and the little girl would look more like the one in the pic with the long quote. The quote ive shortened to "happiness is not the absence of struggle". There's a ton of meaning behind every inch of this design and I could explain it, but really im just looking for feedback on the tattoo aesthetically. Im planning on keeping it all black ink, but if you think colour would look nice somewhere, let me know! This will be my first tattoo so all the feedback is appreciated greatly. Keep in mind these are rough sketches and my artist (who I met today!! :D ) will be drawing it out more nicely. Im likely going to have to break it up into pieces and do it over the course of the year because of cost, opposed to squeezing it into a month or two. As far as pricing goes, what do you guys think? I just want to get a few more quotes before I commit to this shop. Thanks a million!
cant get photos to upload on post.. check out my gallery :)

hi all this is my introduction thread. im a huge enthusiast in tattoos and i love american traditional style hence the name. im going to school to major in art education but i all types of art. the reason i titled this thread trad. flash help is because i drew an american traditional design and would like some input on it. i had planned to get it on my left leg but placement is still up in the air and i dont know if i should keep all of the elements. i also want to get a homeward bound ship on the same leg in the future so i need to plan around that. constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance guys
