blueumbrella22
Hi all! I'm looking to get a traditional piece done around the idea of a favorite song lyric: "Some side with the leaves, some side with the trees." The idea is that you can choose the leaves, which are in essence already dying, or the seeds, which symbolize potential and future growth. So, I want to get "Side with the seeds" on a banner, but I can't figure out what imagery from the traditional lexicon would work. I've considered just an old-school rose. Or maybe some sort of tree, but the only trees you ever really see in the style are palm trees, which wouldn't really work. I've been a huge fan of traditional tattoos for years now, but this will be my first foray. I'm in Queens, NY, so I'll be hitting up Smith Street, for what it's worth. Anyone have any thoughts? Advice much appreciated!
SStu
a rose with leaves is still really about the rose. Leaves as the focal point in a traditional image? might have to settle for a touch of neo-traditional . . . olive branch?
