something fell in my ink bottle, is it still ok to use?

I've just started tattooing so I'm very new to this and don't really know much about what is acceptable and what isn't. As I was opening my ink bottle, there was this aluminium cover to seal it and so as I was removing it, I'm pretty sure a bit of the aluminium dropped into the ink. I just wanted to know if I could still use it or would this be an example of possibly contaminating the ink and therefore can no longer use it? Sorry if this is such an obvious question but I just wanna be safe while tattooing 🙂

This is not a scratcher advice forum.

I don't see the reason why you need to be respond rudely. I'm just asking for some advice and isn't that what these tattoo forums are for?

Guidelines

Welcome to Last Sparrow Tattoo (LST) - we are happy that you have decided to join our community!

Here are some basic rules and guidelines that will help to ensure that your time spent on our free public forum is a useful and positive experience:

The goal of LST is to create a positive and respectful place where both tattooers and collectors alike can access a wealth of information about Tattooing, share their own experiences and perspectives, and cultivate valuable relationships within the tattoo community.

  • Please do not post anything that you might want taken down later. We do not delete accounts or remove posts because doing so disrupts the flow of our forum discussions. Your discussion is your contribution to the site, please don't ask us to delete your posts.
  • We ask that you please use common sense when it comes to posting. If you find that you’re second-guessing yourself on a new post, chances are that you should hold off on posting it until you've had more time to consider the type of reaction it might draw first. Remember that we are focusing on positivity and respect here.
  • Do not go posting a bunch of meaningless posts just to hit your 10 post requirement! If you want to ask a question right away - just post it in your intro thread.
  • Do use the search feature to make sure your question is not already answered in another thread, before posting. We want to avoid duplicate threads as much as possible.
  • Do watch these videos to help you gain insight on the history and culture of good, respectable tattooing.
  • Do not start threads asking about specific tattooing equipment or techniques, LST is not here to teach anyone how to tattoo. Ask your own tattooer, the next time you are getting tattooed. Maybe they'll answer you, maybe they won't.
  • Do not start threads regarding closely guarded trade secrets - this will keep LST a much more welcoming place for everyone, tattooers and enthusiasts alike.
  • Do not start threads asking questions about "breaking into the business" of tattooing.
  • Spamming: Accounts which are obviously created to spam the boards will be banned instantly and the offending posts will be deleted. Accounts that were not created to spam the board but do spam will be banned at the administration and moderator's discretion. Do not post the same post in multiple places around LST as this can also be considered SPAM. If we determine that your reason for joining LST is to attract traffic for your low-quality or spammy site - you could be banned for that too.
  • Disruption: Posting for the purpose of creating disruption on these boards will not be tolerated (e.g., "baiting" or "trolling"). This includes deliberately violating board guidelines and courtesies or otherwise posting in a manner that is deemed by LST moderators to be disruptive or harassing. Please note that creating a new member name for the purpose of disruption places your primary LST account in jeopardy as well.
  • Signatures: You are welcome to link to your own quality/original content TATTOO RELATED website/blog in your signature, but please add a link to www.lastsparrowtattoo.com on your site in a clearly visible location first. We will look at your site and moderate your posts if we can't find a link to LST. *Note: We do not permit links to sites that sell tattoo products in your signature, or that go against the LST mission statement in general. Our moderators will be the judge, but 'cheap tattoo kits' are not a good thing. Also, we're not here to send traffic to your generic ad riddled landing page so don't bother.

You may be banned if you violate any of these Rules or Guidelines.

We like to discourage scratchers.  🙂

If you bothered to read the guidelines you would know that it is NOT what this forum is for. Maybe Scratchers.com.
