Nice one mate, haha. To be honest, half of those TV shows are online anyway. I don't know how it is where you are, but in the UK, every BBC, ITV and Channel 4 show is on their website. I don't think I've owned a TV since about 2004, haha.

Exactly. My only regret is losing the EPL. I guess I will have to follow the Magpies on the internet (they never get on TV anyway, fucking Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool get all the coverage over here anyway...)

We cancelled cable when Conan went off the air and never turned it back on. The only thing we ever watched was Conan and HBO. We don't miss it at all! Except for Conan but you can watch his new show online and I have a working computer again so hooray!

And congrats on your decision cfg! I'm sure the $100 or so you'll be saving every month can buy you some sweet tattoos !

Just join private torrent forums, and you will have the best media library you can come across...these sites are tough to get into, the require invites from other members, but if you can find this site called torrent-invites...it is a good start.

Oh internet.

I was so mad about what happened with Conan, that whole thing really broke his heart. I stopped watching NBC for a long time because of it but I'm over that now because Community is freakin' awesome. I'm sadly kind of addicted to TV but I've been watching more of it on Netflix recently.

The Magpies? Haha, as in Newcastle United? You've just been deemed even cooler in my books.

Nice one cfgsteak. (about the cable, not the football)

I don't care about cable/satellite TV anyway, but I do like to pay my UK TV licence. That's where all the good shit comes from. David Attenborough/BBC wildlife and arts programmes are the best in the world.

John Peel wouldn't have been able to have a job on the radio if the BBC didn't exist or wasn't publicly funded. I don't mind paying £145 per year for that.

netflix canada is the WORST luckily i've been able to find a couple other sites with links to torrents or other downloads.. there's this one website STRIKE GENTLY that posts a lot of tv and movie downloads and streams.. they also post a lot of porn photos (mostly ladies) and funny pictures and music downloads.. so not the best for at work surfing but it's deff worth a look

since I do try to keep my sources mostly secret, I will not post direct links, BUT I will say that there are mostly add free site(s) that have streams of just about any TV Show, Movie ever produced. This said, I do encourage people to pay for Shows/Movies when they can.

@Reyeslv

Cool, I was just curious if you were able to cherry pick cable channels in order to not have to pay for a bunch of channels you don't watch.

You can but I think it's cost prohibitive that way. Basically you're baying shows of iTunes. It's good for streaming new movies and using netflix. I don't see it as a replacement for cable. But I should admit here that I am a TV junkie. The worst kind, I don't spend all my time watching TV but I need every channel that is available. To me that is a BASIC necessity!!!! So I would ask others on the switch t Apple TV instead of cable.... I don't think I could live in a world that didn't have pay TV.....
