  4. Would you let your child, of course being old enough to willingly decide, get a tattoo/piercing before the age of 18?

Ummm... nope and nope. Your eyes are just way too precious to take any chance with something like that. Besides, the appearance just creeps me the hell out. To me, some of the main reasons for getting tattoos is the the art, beauty and the individualism and blackout tattoos has none of that. I of course don't care if others get them, but just find no appeal in them.

I possibly wouldn't mind a small one, almost like a bracelet. But I'd be the type to get bummed if I ran out of skin room 😅😅😅

For me, exactly no on the eyeball tattoos. Blackout tattoos, if done well, are cool. Not for me but I can certainly appreciate (almost) any well done tattoo.
  8. The Ed Hardy show at the de Young museum is INCREDIBLE. I'm going back ASAP. Absolutely incredible. The exhibition catalog is on sale in the gift shop along with a bunch of other books like Beyond Skin and Kahlil's volume of Drawings for Tattoos. Bring your whole paycheck.

This post is just for fun. I would like to complete my initiation and hang around so I'm posting whatever comes to mind. What are your thoughts on eyeball tattoos and blackout tattoos? I personally wouldn't get my eyes tattooed, they come with extremely high risks and are extremely dangerous. But I have seen them compliment some badass tattoos. Black out tattoos on the other hand, I know of them but I have never seen a finished project. My boyfriend's artist is in the process of doing his whole arm, I'm extremely eager to see what he does with it. I think the idea of them is pretty sweet, however it's a pretty high steep because once you do it there is no going back. 😝😝😝

Thank you all for your comments. It is really long process to decide what to have tattooed. I've choosen The Vegvisir symbol for both style and meaning. My friends told me to place it to back of my leg but I am not sure about it. At the other hand I want some minimal and meaningful tattoo on my left arm. I will let you know if I decide anything else.
  11. The symbolism in your tattoo design is exactly whatever it means to you.
  12. That'll entirely depend on the skill and care taken by the doctor who is sewing you up!

    where do you live?
  14. Tattoos take 4 - 6 weeks to heal. You won't know anything until then.
  15. I need some feedback guys. recently got a tattoo done that initially turned out great. I followed the aftercare procedure recommended to me - washing it 2 times a day with anti bacterial soap and applying a non scented moisturiser/coconut oil. However, after a few days the dark areas of the tattoo became heavily scabbed..I didn’t pick or scratch these tattoos and they fell off naturally. But now they’ve left pinkish skin beneath which I’m terrified is scaring..my artist told me it’s still healing and he’d touch it up if needs be...I’m just worried it’s scarred beyond repair. Any info!
  16. Hey. Glad you're back. Look forward to seeing your Koeplinger work!

    I think it looks good
  18. Hey all, been gone for a while, hope everyone is well. I have time scheduled with Chad Koeplinger in about a month to do my chest. This is probably gonna be my first multi session tattoo. Just breezed through the new tattoo pics, y'all age getting some great shit out there.
  19. This happened to me 3 weeks ago. Just the black ink on 4-5 tattoos. It begin during the time a had a viral cold and hasn’t gone down since. I’ve tried ice directly on them thinking it was heat or a fever that triggered it and it doesn’t help. The newer pics look like their gone. How long did it take to go away.
  20. I think I’d wait a little while. When mine was infected, we had to wait quite a while before going back in. The skin was really tender for a few weeks. Let us know what your doctor thinks!
  21. To each their own. What one may like, another may not. If you love it, that is all that matters.
  22. Thanks for the help, I'll keep you updated. Fingers crossed I'm just over thinking it. I was supposed to get a touch up and some more shading done on Aug 3 but from the looks of it may have to push it back a couple weeks.
  23. Good. I’m glad you are going. It may be overly cautious, but you sound really worried. Just see what the doctor says.
  24. You can't let others run your life. If you like it and/or want others, do what makes you happy and ignore the people that try to bring you down. My getting tattooed was my statement that after way too many years I'm no longer let others make me feel bad for my choices. It can be tough, but it's well worth it.
