Dick Warsocki Tattoo Artist Interview

Scott Sylvia

Interview by Ryan Spangler.
Growing up in Omaha, I heard Dick Warsocki's name often when the conversation turned to tattooing. I kinda knew Dick as this guy that worked at Tattooland and came back to town.

Growing up, I remember seeing Dick's script on customers, and it blew me away. As circumstance would have it, I never met Dick until a few years ago. It was through the help of my good friend Chad Elsasser that I got to hang out with Dick and interview him with Chad.

Dick is an honest guy, that loves tattooing and art in general. He's full of great stories about his life and tattooing, and I figured people would enjoy them. Dick was kind enough to welcome Chad and myself into his home to spend the morning hanging out and interviewing him.

Dick's insights and kind demeanor make me proud to be a tattooer.

Sincerely,
-Ryan Spangler

Great to see dick always a solid guy loved his eye and the personal creative sense he always had. Never a follower. Proud to call him a friend and to have tattooed him with his geometric pattern and eagle of his design- back in the day.

This is really the kind of interview and video that we should all get excited about - just an old roughneck who loves to tattoo and doesn't seek any kind of fame or stardom for it. Thanks for taking the time to do the interview and post this!!

That tattoo is as bright as the day you put it in Shotsie. That's been awhile back, National New Orleans convention if I remember right.
