Just got back from my trip, verrrrry tender right now as you'd expect. Colour took 3 hours. I'm so happy. I'll post a nice healed pic in next month's comp thread. :)

I lost a friend over the weekend. Marty was brilliant and he was also a mess. He told stories that were almost never true, but he also had a kind and empathetic heart. When he listened to you, you knew he was listening. Not sure why I am posting it here...some sort of memento mori, or epitaph? Not sure, I just wanted to let the world know that I loved my friend.

I met the chick who won the eBay auctions at a conventions. She's a tattooer from Europe. She or her hands done with lady heads of course. They were super nice. I can't recall the exact price but I believe it was in the thousands. I dunno if the photo I posted earlier is working as I'm checking from my phone but the tattoo he did last night is amazing as expected and was not a lady head. My man emailed last night as soon as I heard to get appts. for us both. I'll let everyone know when we hear back what the wait time is like.

Heavy duty food weekend. Had cured monkfish and some of that sauternes-aged Glenmorangie on Saturday night. The whiskey was amazing... Really mild and almost sweet - quite different from the Islay offerings I normally drink. Yesterday I took a weird notion and cooked for several hours, because I'm working 7 shifts of ten hours this week and won't have time to cook up anything much I reckon. So I made stuff in advance to try and (a) save money and (b) eat right. So there's about 2kg of beef chilli all done- 1. Onions and minced garlic in a pan 2. Add 1 chopped good quality chorizo and either beef chunks or mince and brown the whole lot 3. Add 1-2 tins of chopped tomato depending on the amount of mince 4. Add pre-soaked dried chillis (20 minutes in boiled water beforehand), ideally chipotle, and season with salt and pepper 5. Bring to boil and then simmer for about an hour or so, adding 1-2 cans of black beans in the last ten minutes Then a sheperd's pie (or a cottage pie, really, because I used beef mince)- 1. Onions and carrots, diced, in a pan until softened... Followed by mince, oregano and cumin, fresh thyme 2. Add in mince and brown the whole lot 3. Cumble in a stock cube and add 110ml or so of a good quality red ale or bitter and bring to the boil before simmering for an hour 4. Meanwhile quarter and boil in salted water the mashed potato and steam for 2-3 minutes before mashing with butter and salt 5. Add mushrooms and some cream to the mince mixture, and bring to boil again 6. When the consistency looks good - put the mince into a dish that's going to go in the oven, and grate cheddar over it before layering the mashed potato on top of that 7. Bang in the oven for 40 minutes or so or until golden I'd take pictures but I was too lazy. Put those aside for the week ahead and we ended up eating a 25oz cote de boef between two of us, with smoky baked beans and sage onion rings. Whisky sour on the side.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan... I really, really do need to make a trip to the states. And sooner rather than later at that.

Hello, One of the first series of videos I saw, in fact, the series of videos that lead me here were posted by Jeff Gogue from his guest spot at Yellow Blaze in Yokohama a while back. Has some cool tattoos (skulls, Venetian Mask, etc.) by Jeff, a close look at some of Shige's clients full body tattoos, specifically on Tomo (apprentice) and Juichimen Kannon (client), and start of Jeff Gogue's backpiece by Shige. I personally was taken aback at seeing those two tattoos 'LIVE' rather the just photographed, but I'm a newbie. @dcostello - cheers homie ;) I stayed out of it for as long as I could, but as you said the Reagan flip flopping got me. (not that I supported Hunters' opinion at any stage, just wasn't going to get into a stupid argument) (side note - Oz & The Wire are pretty neck and neck with x-files as best show ever, and Game of Thrones (which I've only just got my little hands on) is kicking some ass also. Have you seen a show by the creator of The Wire called 'The Corner' or something?I haven't seen it but I'm trying to get a copy as we speak)

Cool thread! That first piece is killer, but her right hand and left arm looks a little bit strange to me. Maybe just the picture, or maybe just me... I don't know. The piece as a whole looks really bad-ass though! Most of you have already seen my front piece, but I found a better picture of it on Marius' blog a while back, so here's to those who haven't seen it already (sorry about the insane size of the photo)
