  4. Hello Everyone I have been in a process of getting a back piece for a month now this is my first tattoo and the pic is 4 hours after the last session. Wanted to hear some honest opinions. It still has another session in 2 weeks in which some details and all the coloring will be done and it should complete the piece. What do you guys think?

You're as special as @Hogrider, @Cork, @KBeee, and @someotherguy. Weird that someone signed up just to spam via PMs, but they have received a death blow from the banhammer.

  6. With a process as important as getting a piece of artwork permanently drilled into your skin, how could you NOT use a professional tattoo designer?? Online of course. Face to face interaction is so last generation

  10. So far, for the first 4 weeks at my new school I have kept covered up with long pants and long sleeve shirts...even on these 90-100 degree days. I do have working A/C in my classroom so it only gets hot outside. Well, I got some cropped pants yesterday that show the bottom of the monmon cat tail and I'm going to wear them tomorrow. Yeah! Livin' on the edge!

  18. Day 1 & 2 with Silvano Fiato 12 hours yesterday on this and 8 more today, still not finished. Coming back in 4 weeks time to Silvano the day after Florian to fill in the knee, do some more detail to the bottom part. He has done some very heavy saturation so that it will look great when healed. Going back next June to do the back of the calf. I love Lee Jeffries stuff so obviously we based it around his works. For those that don't know his work, link below if interested :) Lee Jeffries - https://www.google.co.uk/search?client=tablet-android-google&espv=1&sboxchip=Images&tbm=isch&q=lee+jeffries+homeless&revid=1539496463&sa=X&ei=MZAHVLbOIKbhywPamYHoCg&ved=0CB0Q1QIoAA&dpr=2&biw=600&bih=800 Sorry for the shit phone pic, Silvano will post some better ones soon.

  20. Things people say to us about our tattoos have been mentioned in many threads, but I thought it might be fun to read quick snippets of what people say all in one place. We were just on a 2 week trip visiting family in MA & CT. We swung by Custom Cobra while in MA, nice shop but we didn't get any tattoos. Here are a couple one liners from the trip: MIL to hubby, "You're thinking of getting another one?" That struck me as funny because of the word one. FIL to hubby during same conversation, "You know what they say...sometimes less is more!" My friend's little 5-year-old son saw my arm and was impressed with the tiger (his favorite animal) but still said, "You're gonna be sorry." My friend told me he got that from his uncle. I set him straight. Friend of my husband's family saw my sleeve and asked, "Is that a real tattoo?" None of the comments were mean-spirited and I'm not easily offended, they were just kind of funny to me.

In my eyes London is the European Tattoo Mecca, so you're in no shortage of great tattooers where you're at. You've got people like Alex Reinke, Stewart Robson, Ian Flower, Valerie Vargas, Xam, Claudia De Sabe, Jondix, Jordan Tear, Mo Coppoletta, Sarah Carter, Frank Carter right in your back yard, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. What style of tattoos do you like? Also, The London Tattoo Convention is on in a couple of weeks. They are known to have one of the best lineups in the world, and this year is especially great, as they are celebrating their 10th anniversary.

  26. Back to kinda where it all started for us hey KBee. I think when we all make that decision we're going heavy, we think we must put a lot of energy into it, over thinking, complicating it, when the only complicated part is really being steered in the right direction, then it all just falls in place. I love that. Just doing it easy, enjoying the experience again, the vibe, the smell, the sound. On that, how could one sit in a shop with all rotary machines working? The silence wouldn't seem right.

  28. I've seen quite a few rash guards that look VERY hot-mamma. The drawback is depriving fellow beach-goers of the back-piece viewing. (Moving this thread to a better location ...) Here's as good as it gets on the rash guard front - I'm learning to SUP. I'd love to share my tattoo on the beach (especially in the crowd of burned-out tribals) but I'm paranoid about screwing up the colors, especially since it's still in progress. Although, I'm thinking about a beach pic when the sun starts going down tonight.

  31. I am having a similar experience. I started out with a lot of planning and it finally got to be unfun. So I took a break, picked a spot, gave a couple of different thoughts but mainly went with what my artist was into or most excited about. Somewhere in there I crossed some kind of line and accepted that I am well on my way to full coverage which carries with it it's own innate symmetry/harmony of balance. It's been freeing for me to just enjoy the spontaneity and surprise of how things turn out. In the face of the long game, spaces and asymmetry really don't bug me as much anymore because they are temporary.

  34. It's really not all that large. Has to be bigger than you would think to permit detail. Remember that the biggest remembrance of her should be who you turn into!

  35. I FINALLY made up my mind. I picked a picture of her in her prime and had the artist make her into an angel. I picked her prime because this is how I now picture her young, beautiful, happy and most importantly NOT suffering. The artist picked the wing, and background. This tattoo is ALOT larger than I wanted but no turning back now. I sat through 17 hours of inking. I still have to come back for another full day session. He still has to do the other dove, clouds, sun and finish the rose. He really got into this and worked on me as much as he could. I still didn't know it would be THIS BIG. Still not sure how I feel about it because it's SO LARGE. I am very happy and excited with the detail of my mother, which took the longest. Please let me know what you think .... thank you - - - Updated - - -

  38. Dean Bloebaum at Infinity here in Portland made this one for me. He has a few cobras in his flash and I've always liked his skulls, so I said "Cobra-dagger-skull" and this is what he came up with. I'm stupid stoked with how this turned out. Edit: Even before the color was added I thought it was pretty cool.
