Got this Namakubi from Pino Cafaro on Saturday at the London Tattoo Convention. Pino was a great guy and I'm vey happy with the outcome. It's on my chest so it was hard for him to tattoo given that there was no bench. Tricky to do in a chair.

@Wilhell, @Ninab, their 3 year old son Levi and myself will be visiting SF from October 15th till 22nd, and we'd love to hook up with some fellow LSTers while we're there! Don't hesitate to holler if you'd like to meet up with us :) I was also wondering if anyone knew what the best mode of transportation to and from San Jose is. I'm booked with Horitomo on Saturday (the 18th), and I have to get from SF to SJ and back. I'm considering renting a car, but from what I can tell most car rentals are closed on weekends, so I'd have to rent friday through monday if I go that route. Any tips on exhibitions, museums, bars (don't worry, Levi's not tagging along for that one) etc are also more than welcome. If anyone's wondering, Wilhelm is getting tattooed by O'Donnell and Hoyer in NY the week before, then Rassier and Lehi in SF. Nina is booked with Scott Sylvia, and I'm in with Grime and Horitomo. If we're lucky there might be one or two walkins along the way too :)

Had such a great time at the London Convention on Saturday, didn't get a chance to see much of it but I ended up getting tattooed by Greg Christian on top of my appointments with Bert Krak and Eli Quinters. The frog and fly are from Eli and the eagle and snake from Greg (picture from his instagram). I dont have a picture of the Ed Hardy Butterfly I got from Bert but i'll post one when I do.

@MrToby Yes, that was me with the kindle. I think I saw that white rabbit on Instagram? Nice. Although it was hot in the dock I almost think that was better than it being chilly if you were getting tattooed, but I guess it's a fine line.

Florian is really fast, well fastest artist I've had work on me. My idea of course didn't work lol not enough room so we had a compromise. He has never**done a spider before, so I broke his virginity. 5 hours for this but this place is so painful and sensitive. Shit pics, red raw and swollen. I personally love what he has done. The space was a lot smaller than we thought :) Tomorrow off to Silvano again!

Had the honor of snagging Davee Blows for a fun Q+A for the Swallows&Daggers blog the other week and it's up! Have your coffee and read about a poor graffiti kid in Poland who hustled and turned tattooing into a career. Davee is one of the happiest most positive dudes ever! I only wish I had a little more time with him to really beef it up. Still a fun one though, haven't done any kind of tattoo-related writing in years! Read up. There are a lot of great ones that Amelia Martin's done recently. So drink more coffee and read those, too, and put off doing real work.

I Had 3 hours of FUN today !! Previous sitting ! This was the first sitting, now I had 3, all about 3 hours at a time.

Well... That was a pretty great weekend. I will summarise it briefly though. Saw a whole heap of great tattoos and tattoo artists. I now really want to get a Filip Leu tattoo but that will have to go on some sort of wish list I reckon. Got tattooed by Hori Shin on Saturday first thing. He did a cool little rabbit for me. It was great to get some tebori done again. Been a few years since I've had any Japanese hand poked work and this piece went pretty well. Basically all of the white in the fur is tebori. There were a couple of bits he had to go over a couple of times but they should heal up just fine I reckon. Oh and it was insanely hot in Tobacco Dock this year. Anyone else think that it felt like a glass house at times? Also @RoryQ I was looking at my photos this afternoon and wondered is this you getting your front tattooed by Tomo and looking very relaxed about the whole thing?

Tattooers tattoo over all sorts of scars, stretch marks, etc. Don't feel embarrassed or worried! This is the job, what makes it challenging and interesting. They have seen it all! I felt self-conscious when I started going onto my thighs because I have lots of cellulite. I wasn't sure how designs would turn out. The answer is obvious: my thighs are ten times cooler now. :)

Are you planning on going to the convention while you're already in the neighborhood? - - - Updated - - - Bummer! I would have loved to meet up and check out your amazing tattoos in person. You just have to love this thread. I don't come here as often as I should, but whenever I am over the constant sessions of getting work and think about taking a break I come here and have a look at all the progress everyone is making and I keep booking those fortnightly sessions. :)

My name is Inas. I'm 23 and living in NYC. I have three tattoos currently and I'm here because I wanted to get more involved with the tattoo community in general and chat with some people who get that my cursing my currently healing leg tattoo doesn't mean I don't love it, it just means that blood redistribution to the leg is the WORST. @Iwar, @Wilhell, & @Ninab. It's a shame. You're leaving just before I fly up for the Convention. It would have been fun meeting. Looks like you'll all be getting in sessions with awesome folks though. Definitely sounds like a cool trip. Iwar, in regards to renting a car, you should be able to rent one in the City. Many probably do close by 5 or 6pm if you're returning late in the evening. And I believe most/all are closed on Sunday. I do remember there's at least an Enterprise Rental connected to the Nikko Hotel a few blocks up from the Powell BART Station. Being attached to a hotel, you can drop off the car with the hotel valet at night for an extra fee. Other than that there's renting from SFO. Open 24/7. Just take BART to and from the City. With the sometimes more expensive rental fees in the city and the extra charge for afterhours drop off, I've sometimes found this cheaper. I've never tried it, but there's also the train route. Take the train all the way down to San Jose and über it to the shop. What are you getting from Horitomo?

It all came from a night a couple months ago when I was surfing LST while getting tattooed ... this is what I had written: And then the LAST time I was getting tattooed on Friday, the idea came to be again so I ended up starting the thread for real. But like I said, anything goes!

Ha ha ha!!! Sad thing is I probably do have photos of just about all the tattooers that have tattooed me! I have always asked for at least a photo even if they would prefer for me not to post it online..... I was going to frame a photo on me being tattooed with the stencil from the tattoo......but it has never happened to date! One day i will do some of them though....

That's a hell of a first tattoo! Can't wait to watch it progress

Hah, I am actually flying down with the wife and kids for a wedding that same weekend. Most car rental agencies should be open still. It looks like you can rent a car from Enterprise for around $30 a day. If you want, I'll trade you places for the weekend. Sitting around in a stuffy suit is waaay more fun then than the amazing weekend you have lined up ;) P.S. has anyone been to the San Francisco dungeon? Retribution Awaits at the San Francisco Dungeons …:

It's 0530 here, just woken and I find myself coming here to LST to help me get in the frame for the day. The usual routine begins. 0630 extra sweet coffee. 0700 long warm shower. 0745 pack a cooler bag with 6X stubbies of Coopers Pale Ale & Mercury Cider. 0800 hit McDonalds for an English breakfast wrap meal/ small orange juice. 0830 hit the road churning out some Tattooed Mother Fuckers on the stereo. 0915 arrive at destination, tattooer and I close the door to the private room and begin the morning by filling the room with smoke, exchange a few laughs and sharing a couple of stubbies. 1030 in the zone for today's neck slam. Today, should be done by 1300, home by 1400, hot shower/ cider post tattoo aftercare. Happy days. Filling the shark with background today, smoke, flames and lightning.

Really sorry @SeeSee, we had to call time on our first dog Samson and it's a horrible surreal experience . Having healthy pets really reinforces to us how anything should live and as hard as it was we / you did the right thing . Anyway here's a couple of pics of our lads firstly on holiday in Blue Anchor beach and secondly blue steel Butch looking G.Q. smooth .
