  1. I will forever recall the video of Oliver Peck getting his hand tattooed by Hooper. So funny. Imagine Mick jumping around like that.

    Dragons!!!

I've always loved this dragon by Filip Leu. The scales are so delicate, smooth, and flawless. I wish I could find another picture of it!

  5. Any time @Mick Weder mentions getting a new tattoo, I'm always surprised he has space left.

  7. I spend all my money on tattoos, got none left over for music. The only album I bought this year was the new SWANS but honestly I haven't even listened to it yet because they're a band that requires undivided attention for extended periods of time and I haven't managed that yet. I'm lame.

  8. #1 AC/DC Rock or Bust My number one only because It's the only album I've bought all year. (no new Social D album this year)

  9. Why am I so lazy when it comes to music?! Not sure if this is from this year but I've been listening to the Iron Chic album The Constant One a lot lately.

    Dragons!!!

I love anything by Filip. Mr. Rubendall just posted this bad boy on instagram. Color scheme is pretty amazing. The different shades of blue and green are contrasted perfectly by the pink. http://instagram.com/p/wT602sGx6E/?modal=true

  12. The thing about that video is that I'm pretty sure the whole thing is meant to be tongue-in-cheek, sort of like Oliver Peck and Thomas Hooper are playing caricatures of themselves. The palm still seems horrible though.

    Instagram

it's either run by... a) the devil's spawn, determined to keep me burning my precious time scrolling thru my phone whilst getting carpal tunnel, neck pain and ruining my eyesight b) an angel who knows exactly what kind of pretty pictures i like to look at c) some genius programmer mixture of a) and b).

    Dragons!!!

A few dragons I've painted. Dragons have been my new obsession lately and I definitely enjoy painting dragons and eagles more than anything !

  15. Anticipation is half the fun! Spend the time digging around and learning more about the art and you'll be more confident going forward. This is a great place to learn. I sure did!

The explore tab on Instagram is pretty gnarly. I have discovered a bunch of rad tattooers on there.

  17. The itching is never fun, but I'm weirdly more annoyed by the hazy/cloudy/milky look this time around. It's really intense on the inside of my arm. I don't usually have a second peel to speak of, but I'm pretty sure this time I will. It is interfering wtih my ability to admire my tattoo. Go away, skin haze, you're lame.

  18. I hate to say it but he pretty much gave you exactly what you wanted. Some images just don't translate to the skin. This is why non-artists shouldn't design their own tattoos. Next time find an artist you like and give him/her a little more free rein.

  19. someone more knowledgeable than me can certainly answer this, but because the colors are so muted would a blast over work? It kills me that your such a dragon guy a didn't get a balls out solid Japanese dragon piece. But I am very biased

  20. 1. Painting. I really damn enjoy it! 2. People and their motivations for doing things. 3. How to spin plates. Not in a literal sense, but to focus on ten different things, and draw on people, and babble like I do... its a good skill to have. 4. Discression. Oh yeah, things the clients tell me stay with. DO THEY! And its the better part of valor. 5. Food. I can go for 18 hours without eating. Should I? Noooooooooo. and last... Stop and smell the roses. Or at least draw them.

  21. Nearly finished the anemone and shading and side corals, and shadows along the bottom. The red is the huge bruise already starting. The clownfish were already there, and the crab first pass was from the last session. I am so amazed at how this is all turning out! Two more session until we're done!

  22. Hi all, been slacking on my updating on here so heres some bits and pieces: Most recent thing I've had done was continuing this, was cool to chat to Brad Fink briefly prior: one session to go, hopefully soon although it will be hard not to get something else by Andre. Also got this from O'Donnell back in July: Both shameless instagram thefts.... As usual this thread has blown my mind with the awesomeness that LSTer's choose to get...

  23. Great true Graeme, many times I was thinking about that during tattoo session, it's a sort of surreal moment, but I love it.

  25. No call, no shows for appointments that assume their deposit is still valid when they show up to reschedule, then put in a complaint to the BBB after being told the process starts over. We have a large readable sign that says deposits are non-refundable, yet 2 people in the last 10 years of being a BBB member have put in complaints, lowering our score. This is an inconsiderate and selfish as cruising 10 miles under the speed limit in the passing lane.
