    Hello from Australia

Hi LST members! I've decided to sign up and make an account after spending a fair amount of time lurking the forum and watching all the LST interviews trying to learn as much as I can. I got my first tattoo about 18 months ago and went from not knowing what I thought was good tattooing from bad to wanting to get a lot of tattoos from tattooers I respect and admire pretty quickly. I've gone and gotten about one a month, including a couple of bigger pieces, from tattooers across Australia. I'm still relatively new to the tattoo world, but I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to be tattooed by some great people and tattooers, and I look forward to getting more and learning more about the craft and history of tattooing! Cheers, Adam. - - - Updated - - - I love talking about my and other peoples tattoos with people who appreciate the work, so if you're interested, here are a few of my favourites that I've collected over the last year: https://www.instagram.com/p/8CaTYnBxWC/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BAJyOsgBxWs/ https://www.instagram.com/p/8eo4LhNCrX/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BDFEF1av-ub/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BARF9BuQ2lN/ https://www.instagram.com/p/9dBby6OsH_/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BB95q3hnHTT/

  4. I'm not a tattooer but I think somebody should be able to add some dimension to that tattoo to make it look finished. Jesse Strong at Steveston Tattoo Company comes first to mind because he does really nice black and grey--he does really nice everything--but maybe somebody has other Vancouver area recommendations as well.

  5. Don't have a fresher/better pic at the moment but the Morrison and Baphomet are new. Done by Mikko Lekkerimäki @ Sick Boy Tattoo here in Kokkola. Young dude, been tattooing about 5 years. The Morrison is fresh in the pic, it was done little over a month ago. They will continue as sleeves, cover-ups to be done on both arms.

  7. Managing $5M worth of construction and just wrapping up another $1M design. High voltage electrical projects. And to counterbalance that I just got the go ahead on a small contract to do engineered drawings for a new commercial space...for cosmetic tattooing. This is really amusing that I am overlapping my professional life and deviant lifestyle. Make dat green lol

  8. Something a bit different than your badass pieces :) done by Bumpkin Tattoo, Trnava, Slovakia. It was a free design that really spoke to my booklover soul. Photo from the artists' Facebook. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Hi from Chris

To get a good tattoo you need to find an artist that can work a design in your style. You need to go to every shop you can and look at their artwork, when you find someone that speaks to you with their designs then have a conversation with them about what you want and work out a design together. Tattooing is a personal and I believe partially spiritual experience and should not be cheapened by involving some kind of electronic device.

    Hi from Chris

You might find a couple of takers, but as a newbie - if you hang out here a little while, you'll understand the general mindset of the group (who mostly aren't interested in or tolerant of just another technology based suckerfish to the industry as a whole). Welcome, if you're primary intention is to learn about how to get and enjoy tattoos! - - - Updated - - - You might find a couple of takers, but as a newbie - if you hang out here a little while, you'll understand the general mindset of the group (who mostly aren't interested in or tolerant of just another technology based suckerfish to the industry as a whole). Hi from Chris

How about a tattoo app that throws your damned phone in the trash, walks you into a tattoo shop so you can talk to a human being, pick something off the wall, and get a tattoo? Getting a tattoo isn't exactly a difficult process. I hope you pay attention here and get the knowledge you need to help you in choosing a quality artist to give you a quality tattoo, but cut it out with this app shit. Nobody needs an app to get tattooed, and frankly, given that you don't have any tattoos and have a very recent interest in them, yet apparently want to make money off of them nevertheless via a useless app, you're coming across as an interloper and nobody likes that.

  14. I think eating right, getting sleep, keeping hydrated, etc. is definitely important. Getting tattooed, though, can be a heavy experience mentally, and I think when you're nervous, you might forget to take deep breaths or breathe at all and be physically very tense, which could very well make you feel like you're going to faint. The first time I got tattooed, I got my elbow done, and I was nervous and not breathing. I was turning green so the tattooist told me to take a break. Call me a hippy but meditating or doing some yoga before hand might be helpful.

  16. Henning requested pics of my healed back with a black background. Believe it or not, it was tough finding large enough black material like a curtain or spool of cloth but luckily my local dry cleaner had something I could borrow. I had to email him LARGE files because he may publish the photos in something. Fun looking at all the details. Maximize your browser!

  21. Finished today the skull and some minor details. I love it, it really makes the Tofi eye part that was bland and I didnt like pop more now :) He also gave me an original painting of his which is sick (pic below) The Japanese artist at the shop was doing a sleeve, super clean work and he ended giving me an original of one of his paintings(pic below), so had a great day :) Sorry for the glare from my phone. Video of completed leg by Mrdist! The original picture Henry gave me :) The original picture Enzo gave me :)

Unfortunately the contestants have discovered that by being obnoxious assholes, they get more screen time. As long as it works, they'll continue to do it. I'm not sure why someone thinks it's good to be famous for being a butthole, but that's the new reality.
