  1. Tigress by Chris O'Donnell. There's no way that this photo does it justice! It wraps all the way around my thigh both front and back then up to my butt (and OMG, I love the tiger tail on my butt!). The photo looks a little distorted due to my inability to take a photo of it myself. Way up high, he tied in my existing peony with rocks and fngerwaves. It looks sweet.

  2. Are you just going to keep asking until you get the answer you want or do you want the truth? The truth is that you are more likely to fuck it up worse than fix it. Stay away from tattoos until your OCD is cured. If you look hard enough and long enough, you'll find a mistake in every tattoo.

  3. Lots of great advice here...all saying the same thing. Love your tattoo - each one is personal and it is the little quirks that make them so. The issue isn't the tattoo, it's your OCD. In the famous words from the movie Frozen.....Let it go.

  4. Ok, the last one in my whirlwind of 3 appointments in 3 weeks. Finished up this one from Chauncey "CK" Kochel.

  5. Maybe consider "fixing" the obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) instead of "fixing" the misplaced dot on the tattoo?

  6. Coming soon: I had my tattoo artist thicken one of the lines on a tattoo I had that wasn't perfect. Then that line made the other lines look imperfect so I had him thicken ALL of the lines. They weren't all perfect, as measured by an electron microscope, so I had the whole tattoo lazered off so I could start fresh and get it perfect this time, but even after 10 lazer treatments the skin doesn't look perfect. What should I do????

  10. Remind yourself of the other 99 percent of the tattoo that was done right, rather than the 1 percent dot. We are all from the same imperfect race, human :)

  11. Per the forum guidelines: Do not start threads asking about specific tattooing equipment or techniques, LST is not here to teach anyone how to tattoo. Ask your own tattooer, the next time you are getting tattooed. Maybe they'll answer you, maybe they won't.

  13. Ah man that sounds like a right pain in the ass. Hopefuly ill get over this maybe i will. Im the same even if i get a mark in my clothes or something so it not just tattoo but tattoos are more permanent. Ill leave it for now

  14. Hahaha ... exactly! :D There is no such thing as perfect. It's unreasonable to expect anything more than near-perfect. :)

  15. I have no intentions of tattooing anyone else, rest easy. :) I suppose the reason I'm doing it is the same as most tattoo artists who went before me ... love of tattoos and love of art. I was just hoping someone with a little know how would throw me a bone or two regarding color ... knowledge is always appreciated.

  16. So why are you tattooing yourself? Did you buy a machine on eBay and just decide to give it a go? Please don't tattoo anyone else. OK?

    Hello!

Quit looking so closely! Nobody else is, I promise! It looks ok from here. It's ink jammed into your skin with needles. It will never be CGI perfect.

  22. Well then, obviously I must oblige. The heart is what I just had done Sunday. Sadly, I'm a bleeder, so fresh pictures rarely come out instagram-worthy. Hopefully my attachments worked, I'm used to embedding pictures with html on forums, so please let me know if I should do something differently next time. I have a few other tattoos, but these are the ones I have pictures for right now.

  24. I could imagine that using UV ink might work in this case as well...? @Piecewise if you let us know where you're based, someone may be able to direct you to a place nearby where you may get actual help with your question. Good Luck and feel free to keep us updated! Quite an interesting topic methinks...

  25. You can't. Or you could probably laser off that little part and have it redone. It will be a long process and probably not worth it, because you seem hellbent on not being happy about your tattoo regardless of the little dot or not. But if you're that crazy about details and perfection, my tip would be to stay as far away from tattoos as possible. They are made by humans, who will get things wrong from time to time. They also tattoo living skin, which reacts different from client to client, and during your healing you can mess it up yourself. Even if your tattoo is executed and healed perfectly, it will eventually fade and become some barely readable mess- and/or you'll get a cut that turns into a scar which will alter the tattoo.

  28. Healing has been phenominal! Yesterday marked the end of black and gray work. Knocked out the tiger strips as well. Next Week we start packing in color! We also finished shelling out our next project for my back. 6'3" there will be a lot of ground to cover.

  32. Session number seven rolled around this Saturday. @bongsau You were definitely right, "in for a whooping" to say the least. Only made it through 2 and a half hours, but still managed to tear up an insane amount of skin. It's sessions like this that definitely teach you about your body and ability to tolerate pain. Felt pretty discouraged immediately after the session, but I'm still stoked on the level of progress. Can't wait to see the patterning brighten up as the blue settles over top. 28.5 hours here.

  33. Went last night to have a peony recolored. It was done by a different artist a few years ago and everything else sort of grew up around it. Now it feels more like a part of the whole shebang and I love the purple. Husband had more work done on his tiger. We were supposed to go before Christmas and ended up w/another blizzard so we had to reschedule..just like last winter argh! Also spent some discussion time w/my artist about continuing the wind/water theme elsewhere so I'm kinda excited about that.

  35. Just finished my first completed attempt at tattooing, on myself, of course... I have NO intentions of tattooing anyone but myself. Not perfect, for sure ... but not too bad for a first try, I think. :) What do you all think of it?

  36. I've come to learn, if you're a perfectionist then tattooing may not be the hobby for you :D

  38. @Cameron Jose Cute frog. Had this done today by Grant Gebbie, owner of Cuba Street Tattoo in Wellington NZ - @ggtattooer on IG. Very stoked. Bought my girlfriend a birthday present too... a Cheeky Thigh-Leopard she fell in love with last time we were at the shop together, rarely seen this side of the Pacific. Done by Joe @jj_doom. Shame you can't see his other paw here 'cause it looks like he's 'holding' her kneecap on both sides, cool placement.

  39. Got this frog on Sunday from Jay Watkins at Spider Murphys. I won my work's fantasy football league this year so I figured putting the pot towards a relevant tattoo would be fun. Super stoked on how this one turned out, Jay's great and always fun to talk to:

  41. Put some work into the 2nd layer last nite and ran over some old tattoo with new. It was an awesome time. Trevor is an old pal from our teenage punk years. We teased him when he was the first of our friends to get some tattoo. And now he's tattooing us 2 decades later. It's really funny. 3 swallows blasted over the background of my 13 year old St. Francis tattoo. All draw on. Used spearmint, lipstick red inks and some old National Yellow pigment for extra cool points. Cheers

  43. Finished up my tiger with Chris O'Donnell on Friday. We added chrysanthemums, rocks and fingerwaves. I'm over the moon with the way it looks (healed photos to come) and thrilled that I never have to have the back of my thigh tattooed again! Oh, and all while having a full on vertigo.

If it's her boyfriend, you aren't going to get her to listen. The work is shitty and awful, and you can tell her everyone think so, but she is involved with this guy and thinks he's the bee's knees. Nothing will convince her otherwise. It's sad. The multicolored pimple thing on her arm is tragic. I don't even know what to say about that.
