  2. Howdy everyone! I've been lurking since March. I found the LST forum when I was planning my back piece. The back piece experience thread and the ladies thread were instrumental in my prepping and planning - I especially appreciate the insights of GingerNinja! So thank you GN and everyone else on this forum! My favorite style of tattooing is blackwork and I look forward to being completely covered someday. I'm starting with places that stay covered at the office [emoji12] and will move on from there! I just finished my back piece Saturday and will probably move on to one of my legs by next winter. This was done by Hira Lupe at First Class Tattoo in NYC. I'm not putting my butt on the internet [emoji16]so here is a side view: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. You can see how the tattoo of the poem on my rib cage intersects with my back piece on the left side. I'm into it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Hey Folks- I am a filmmaker and tattoo enthusiast. I've been going to the Greenpoint Tattoo Company in Brooklyn, New York for five years now and the owner (John Reardon) and I have always joked about Parks and Rec set in a tattoo shop. Well, we made it- albeit in web series form. It can be seen here for free: Episode 1 Episode 2 Episode 3 Episode 4 Episode 5 There is a bit more information and a binge watch version on www.inkincshow.com. It stars a few other tattooers and plenty of weird clients. We really wanted to stay true to tattooing and expose some of the more annoying things artists deal with on a day to day basis. I hope you enjoy it.

  5. Went to my favorite shop tonight to follow up on a previous session and plan my next session with my Artist. The greatest compliment I can offer is referrals. One of my friends wanted a very specific tattoo of a design developed by another lady to cover brands of those who had been in human trafficking. A world most of us will ,hopefully , never understand.... OMG. The response from my artist and shop owner were incredible. The shop owner wanted to meet the lady. He offered free ink to anyone who had brands and wanted to cover marks that caused that caused pain in a former life. My Artist wanted to study the design and make sure they got it perfect. This is a side of the industry most non ink people will never see or understand. My next appointment is December 8th. I am going to cater in a couple Sweet Potato pies and double my artist tip. Life is good! Never underestimate your power to do good and help others! Meanwhile I signed up for five more hours on the next chapter of the dragon half sleeve.

  7. I'm going to be the odd woman out - I love all my tattoos including the 11 year old song lyric tattoo that wraps around my right thigh and the 8 year old song lyric tattoo my right forearm. I always feel the rightness of a new tattoo when I look at it and feel more myself now that I have it. Having said that - if you are having such doubts and concerns that you feel the urge to solicit the opinions of Internet strangers, I'd hold off. FWIW, studies show most people's musical tastes don't diverge after age 33 so you could always make it a bday present for your "Jesus year" if that hasn't passed for you yet.
