Mine isn’t traditional Japanese, but your point still resonates.

  3. Bummed out. Have had a five hour session booked for over a month. It snowed today. Not a big deal in most places. But if you live Alabama, life stops and everyone stays home. Hoping my artist can get me rescheduled soon. What is a couple weeks compared to how long I will wear this thing?

    Latest tattoo lowdown.....

To quote KD Lang's 101 year old spunky Grandma (true story) "you better finish what you started". My advice is focus on completing what you have in progress. Awful lot of unfinished tattoos walking around, don't be a statistic! This has always been my approach. Eye on the prize.

    Halloween Flash Day Tattoos!?

The whole shop was doing them - each artist had drawn up a flash sheet and it was a first come, first serve kind of thing. So each tattoo was only done one :). I really loved it, it was so fun and an amazing experience. I'm not sure what you mean by 'good one for halloween flash' as this was my first experience and a really positive one :) Thank you :)

  10. I'm going to be the odd woman out - I love all my tattoos including the 11 year old song lyric tattoo that wraps around my right thigh and the 8 year old song lyric tattoo my right forearm. I always feel the rightness of a new tattoo when I look at it and feel more myself now that I have it. Having said that - if you are having such doubts and concerns that you feel the urge to solicit the opinions of Internet strangers, I'd hold off. FWIW, studies show most people's musical tastes don't diverge after age 33 so you could always make it a bday present for your "Jesus year" if that hasn't passed for you yet.

  11. Last night, about 3.5 hours to complete this one. Cover up of an old demon head from 1979 and other work I didn't like done in 2008.

  15. Just tell your artist about your reaction/allergy/whatever to certain inks and ask if s/he could use other pigments instead. No one likes being told how to do their job, but this sounds like a legitimate request and one that I hope would garner some empathy. Keep in mind that not all inks/pigments are created equal, and your artist may have a strong preference for something other than what you suggest.

  18. Finished my back with Alex Binnie a little over a year ago.. probably 7 sittings that were roughly 3hrs each. The second photo is George Bone tattooing me about a month after my back was finished. I'll post some proper, healed photos sometime.
