  1. Happy update: my tattoo wasn't infected 😬 I've taken off the Tegaderm and it's peeling and healing nicely. Can't wait for my little monster to fully heal.

  2. It seems the key is to keep the area clean. If the area is clean and sealed then no MRSA or anything else nasty will get under or through it. It's used by most hospitals...

  12. Thanks you everyone, I totally love it! The sternum was an 8 of 10 pain wise wasn't pleasant the nipple was a 10 on a mans scale of pain lol but it only lasted like 10 mins... First day we did only 6 hours as we spent like 4 hours perfecting the picture and stencils and by 6 hours of work it was 1am and my Mrs had had enough so we called it. Second day 14 hours! I am considering lasering y Remis piece as letting carlos do my whole front, we have some great ideas for it and the Remis piece just doesn't fit in

  15. Artist David Corden! We have tried something completely different work wise, totally out of mine and Davids comfort zones, it may not work but we tried for something different lol Brutally honest opinions chaps and girls lol we went for scribbly textured arty fartty style lol. We need to do more shading down the inside of the leg still and David said once its settled down we should see lots of textures. 10 hours on this and we still need to add more shading as its swollen really bad at the moment. What do you think?

  16. went in to ask him about getting an older tattoo fixed and ended up getting a spur of the moment tattoo. excuse the crappy pictures as I forgot to ask him to take a picture for me so I had to try to do it myself at home afterward.

  17. Got started on my ribs with William Yoneyama today, 40+ degrees outside, nowhere better to be than under air conditioning. About 3-4 hours in, should wrap it up in a few weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. I have posted this in other spots here but I guess this is actually the correct spot. here is my newest tattoo. My tattoo before that was from the same artist, Rev J.R. out of Vicious Ink in Rochester Hills MI. I also got a tattoo at Vicious Ink from one of their apprentices Tim. All of my other work is older and not worth posting :)

  20. Me and @Pugilist got matching tattoos again. This is from Doc Forbes flash and was done by Chris Hold at Sacred Heart Tattoo in Vancouver, BC. It was a super fun one and Chris was a great dude to get tattooed by. Couldn't be happier with the tattoo and the whole experience.

  29. Just finished my Jason Reeder owl. :D My picture is awful because it's still shiny/swollen/red, plus I'm bent over upside down trying to get a good angle, it looks slightly distorted here but looks better in person. It's on the side of my leg and the wings wrap onto my shin slightly, so it's tough to get a pic of it all. Jason is awesome to work with and we've already discussed expanding on this piece and having a nocturnal theme around my lower leg. 2 sessions, about 5 hours.

  36. I got this today from Chad Koeplinger at the Montreal convention. Ed Hardy-inspired hybrid rose right over the shin. I am super stoked on it and all of you should get tattooed by Chad not only because his tattoos are fucking amazing, but because he is a rad dude and getting tattooed by him is super fun.

  40. When I was in Vegas for the APP Conference, my old friend Ron Garza and I decided to get matching 'bro-tats' courtesy of his wife Nakota who tattoos out of Outer Limits. We've known each other since 1995 and have an amazing surreal friendship. Earlier this year one of our good friends (who goes back to 95 with us as well) killed himself, so we decided on Skulls in Party Hats. Little two minute dealies to commemorate our friendship. The "party tats" label was tongue in cheek.

  41. About 7 weeks ago, I got my first tattoo, which was the words "Love will tear us apart again" written down the centre of my forearm. Almost four weeks ago I got my second tattoo, the reading of the first discovered pulsar, also the cover of Joy Division's "Unknown Pleasures," completing the piece. A little background on the piece: when I was 16, quite a few serious events unfolded in my life. I was a foster child at the time, and I had some mental health issues that resulted in me being volleyed about from hospital to hospital as psychiatrists picked apart my brain and my behavioural problems. At some point I ended up at a hospital in up-state New York, where I saw the movie "Donnie Darko" for the first time. To cut the story down to size, I identified with the movie. One song in it particularly caught me: Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart." I listened to it daily. Fast forward a year, give or take, and while living in a group home, one of the boys I lived with gave me the "Unknown Pleasures" CD for Secret Santa. He never got the help he needed, or the family he needed, and wasn't as fortunate as I was. So while this piece is also a tribute to one of my favourite bands, it is mainly a reminder of a time in my life, and of how lucky I am. I've already had several kids in big glasses and flannel come up to me in New York and complain that "Love Will Tear Us Apart" isn't on "Unknown Pleasures." Having to deal with them is probably my only regret about this tattoo. EDIT: Sorry about the huge pictures. Is there any way to resize them so they don't punch everyone in the face with how big they are?

  46. Jason Kelly at Live Free in Atlanta, GA. Nicest dudes. My girl got a sweet hour glass from Miguel O. Back of thigh is by far the worst tattoo pain I've felt. Goes right on to my ass cheek with the tongue, but Jason drew it straight on and was super fast and a true dude to the tradition of tattooing. Walked away with a cool tattoo, some prints from Miguel and a cool ass experience from all of them. Oh yea my appt got delayed because Myke chambers was getting tattooed by Jason. NBD Also, a drunk chick asked to watch me get tattooed so I said yes. She then proceeds to massage me and tries to cop a feel under my shorts all while getting tattooed. Thankfully Jason kicked her out. Fuxking weird
